so, my friend fucked me over. she has an apartment with a
room freeing up sept. 1st, and has led me to believe i was
the designated roomy -- until, of course, some old childhood
friend popped into town. so now i have nowhere to live for
the schoolyear. the better-priced apartments are mostly word
of mouth or posters, and as i'm in berlin i have no access
to either. the stuff posted in newspapers/web is fucking
expensive. fuck.

I know it's a case of bolting the door after the horse has
fled, but I would strongly recommend formal housing
contracts, even when it's a best friend you're living with.

And it's no big deal, since they won't be your friend

Feels awkward to ask sometimes but at the end of the day

Dude you should come to Van now!!!

There are loads of appartments in the west end up for rent,
I don't know what sort of price you had in mind but I have
seen some batcholors for $600 ish. I live in the west end I
could have a look round for you if you like just tell me how
much you want to spend.

You could prolly get something in Point Grey if you wanted
to be closer to UBC now. But I think it would be a good idea
to get your ass here pronto.....
