Just got this album two days ago. So far I've listened to
it four times and it's like crack - wacked out and totally
addictive. I'm about to strap on my headphones, hop on my
bike, and go out and cruise the city with this shit
blasting.

Yes, it's very good. I recommended it on Soulseek the other
day..

Ya know Pitchfork may be full of shit SOMEtimes but I think
their 2004 picks are great. Some of them like Futureheads
and Fiery Furnaces I'm just getting around to now.

Pitchfork did do fairly well this year, I agree. However, I
was (am still am) totally mystified by the absense of Frog
Eye's "The Folded Palm" on their list. That lead singer guy
is a nut.

In cockney accent:
"Eer, sunshine, what's going on here den?, could this be a
bit of ..... jiggery pokery goin on 'ere" *grunt, cough,*

uh.... i dont know about frog eyes....the guys often around
(hes from here)
but frog eyes was (and is..in europe now) supporting dan
bejar as destroyer on tour, both as an opening act and as
bejar's backing band . also 6 songs from the newwest
destoryer album, 'your blues', was just released as
rerecroded with frogeyes as the band.

Yeah, the guy at my local record shop was raving about
that Destroyer ep with Frog Eyes. I was between that and
Blueberry Boat, but I ended up getting the Fiery Furnaces
album instead.

OK I take it back, I don't like them any more. It's
Residents outtakes with Ian Noll lyrics performed by people
who clearly aren't enjoying themselves. You'd think with
that description it'd be marvelous but there you go.

yeah, that album really blew my mind on first listen, it's
wild! i also checked out the arcade fire due to pitchfork's
#1 rating and was very pleased!
