What have you got? Oh, let's all write our computer

AMD XP3200+
512mb ddr
Radeon 9600pro

3 ghz , 1024 ram , 9800 XT .. they are making sure it runs
fine on older systems ; 512 ram + 1.5 ghz will ensure near
optimum performance I think

Intel P4 - 1.5Ghz
256Mb DDR
a really shitty videocard

guess where my problems might stem from.. :(

on the other hand, friends of mine who actually know
something about computers said I should be able to run it,
just with all the fancy stuff switched quite resolutely OFF.

You should get a new graphics card if it's really bad,
though.

I'm not saying too expensive, just expensive.. I don't
know.. what do you think a pretty up-to-date graphics card
would cost to get installed..?

I have little knowledge of computers, let alone that I would
like to crack open the laptop that I really need to work
on.. :)

from what I've read on the dell site is that it's only
really possible to upgrade from the standard shitty 16Mb
card to a slightly less shitty 32Mb card.

anyway, I sent them an e-mail asking what the options are..
we'll see...

drive.

It's a SATA drive I installed it on. I installed XP normally
on a 10GB partition. When windows was installed I created
two other 10BG partitions. One for XP64 and one for
Longhorn.

I then booted to disc and the XP64 install ran fine. I'm
using Hitachi Deskstar 7K250's SATA drives. Don't know if
that means anything. Didn't have to use a floppy boot at
all.

I've just started an AFX logo one.
I'm going to render both in 3DS when I've got it from my
mate. BAM!
