haha. my nanna bought me a rupert bear stamp collecting book when i was mini. sadly, the novelty wore off after about 20mins. she insisted on giving me bags of stamps every birthday for the next 3 years tho' :D i can imagine why she thought i might get into it - it's the sort of thing i'd do (but not as cool, OBVIOUSLY :p, as i used to obsessively collect things. |

yeah I collected comic books too. I also have shoebox with all old useless things in it. like a flashlight, batteries, some electric wires. magic cards, olds wallets, etc... I'm so weird. |

OH SWEET JESUS. Did you used to get the enormous post office bags of unsorted stamps too? Those were the bane of my life. I used to have to feign a smile as my uncle handed me the obviously stamp-related package, then hold my grin in position for an hour or so while he made me sort through the incredibly tedious plastic sack of shit. Seriously, it was Not Fun. |

YES! i probably have bags and bags of unopened ones somewhere - i never throw anything away. i wouldn't have minded if they had even vaguely decent pictures on them, but it was always mangey ducks and sheep or something equally unappealing to a 6yr old kid. |

Heh, and i thought i was suffering alone. All stampy stuff is long gone from my life... i chucked that shit out as soon as i had the chance. The only things i collect now are random rubbish that i plan to use in sculptures. My garage is full of the crap. |
