i think he did a few great tracks lately... though i'm not huge about the album, tetra sync is up my street. as is the new 12" (venus 17 and tundra 4 are my fave squarepusher tracks ever i think). |

I like it... I was listening to it really drunk one night and it really came into place. Certainly more of a single album than a collection of songs IMO. |

what about track 4, i hate it at the first listening, but, wtf, its fucking incredible how he can make it grow and then reduce it to a simple bit/sound and then fill all the space again and then suddenly dnb and thats actually a shit explanation and then calm and carry on... |

I've listened to it a couple of times. I might have listened to it more but it pisses me off that I can't burn the whole thing to a single CD. This reminds me, I need to put Do You Know Squarepusher on eBay. |

Ah I love it. Tetra-Sync, *drool*... And Iambic 9, oh yes! The bass solos aren't so good in parts, but the rest of it makes up for that. Overall, fantastic album |

Were parts of Ultravisitor recorded on tour? Yes, in fact most of the tracks are recorded from shows either in the UK or in the US/Canada. The point of using live versions of the tracks is that they show stupid people that, though their own stubbornness prevents them from being able to engage with my music, they hear other people cheering in the background, and realise that although this music is obscure, it cannot be totally inaccessible because other people like it. Because it is obscure, but not totally inaccessible, this makes it cool. This makes stupid people buy it. One day their children will dust it off and play it, and realise that I am the supreme musical genius of my generation. This means I'll still be able to play gigs when I'm an old fart with no ideas. when i saw him he opened up with tundra4, then did venus no 17. tundra4 was 100 times better than the proper release that just came out and venus no 17 sounded the same as the cd version. the ultravisitor stuff sounded a bit more live than the cd version. |

ultravisitor is great. i say so. tom's good live too. saw him on tour last summer & on the warp/sinfonietta toour. two very different shows. both very entertaining. |
