it's not a 'split' as such.
they're brothers. apparently there was no juicy falling out
story over artistic differences, no bitter sibling feud.
they've just decided that there will be no more releases as
orbital.
they've been going quite a while. made some excellent LPs
(and some that haven't lived up to the standards they set
themselves) and put together what some people reckon to be
one of the best live electronic shows in the world.
why not call it a day, if you've done everything you want to
do?

I saw their last ever stand alone gig at Brixton on Friday,
was absolutely phenominal. So sad to see them go.

yeah, nothing to stop you revisiting their old stuff
though.

i've heard that bbcs digital radio station 6music will be
transmitting their glastonbury show. something to look out
for.
