glade doesnt really look promising, ive heard the warp guys
and i cant say i liked them...espesially plaid which im a
big fan of..i though they were exceptionally boring live...

but then there is this festival in birmingham
http://www.capsule.org.uk/super/super_04.htm
which really looks amazing, in terms of lineup...i bet its
some shitho;le venue..but hey, were all here for the music,
not for the glam...or im too naive...

if tehres any birmingham ppl here can they give us some info
on the venue and/or the whole thing

thanks

I'm from Brumland. I'm definitely going to that... you're
right the lineup is very good.

The Custard Factory is awesome, seriously, its got a great
bohemian vibe going on. Its a complex of indie shops,
businesses, arts classes and workshops ect, Broadcast
rehearse and record there. As for the actual venue I'm not
too sure, there is a bar inside called the Medicine Bar
which kicks ass, but I don't know if it could host 3 stages
at a time. I wouldn't worry about it though, its a great
place wherever the stages are... its where all the decent
acts play in bham.

I did spot this on the capsule site... they're
doing a deal, 39 quid for a double room. I expect this will
be the best option :)

there's a mag based in brum that i do a little freelance
work for. met with the editor when she was in town the other
week for a chat. invited me to come along & meet the other
writers, editors etc. they're involved in
sponsoring/organising the event. said i'd get in free & have
free bar all night in vip with them.. so it seems silly to
turn them down.
especially considering the quality of the lineup (which is
the main reason for going).

yeah.. i've done a couple of events & cd reviews in the past
month or so. working on some full length articles for the
summer. possibly interviews with upcoming digital &
graffitti artists. maybe sorting out interview(s) with
musicians at the capsule event.. or something with the mag i
subedit for later in the year.

Well Afx didnt turn up!, plaid cut out a few times ,square
pusher was so so..the sound rig was so quiet i had trouble
hearing it. ceephax acid crew turned up which was cool.
wevie stonder was the best, very funny and entertaining
,cassette boy turned up also and had two people up front
acting in bush and blair masks .

Sorry i cant be arsed typing in depth tonight but over all
it was dissapointing ,mostly because of the pap sound .

sorry to hear it didn't live up to expectations :(
the warp stuff at the glade last year was top... you'll
just have to come to the glade festival itself to make up
for it :)

(i'm secretly glad it wasn't amazing tho', as i didn't
manage to get tickets and have been pining all weekend :p)

The Capsule girls always have fantastic events
The Custard Factory is fantastic venue
The lineup is also fantastic

Fantastic! just come along. i'm there!

p.s. I saw Chris Clark play live in a pub up the road from
Custard last night. 2 pound in ! You should all move to
Birmingham and just ignore that we have a dodgy rebuilt
shopping center :)
