N.B. this is by far not an attention seeking thread (although some people will probably swear blind that it is!). i would like to take the opportunity to apologize for any comments or behavior i have exhibited that have offended, upset, or pissed off any member of xltronic. i realise that i can have a habit of saying the wrong thing a lot of the time, or not elaborating on my comments enough to give a proper emotive response, and therefore I unintentionally piss someone off. Hobbes seems to be a frequent recipient of my misconstrued "gobshiteness", but i'm sure that he/she is not the only person i have pissed of. therefore, please read my text: i am sorry everyone. the reason for this public apology? i dunno. today i just feel kinda defeated (for want of a better word). i just feel like i'm an aggravating little fucker who just amuses people sometimes with my stupidity and zealot-ness, or pisses people off with my condescending and sometimes patronizing comments (usually to do with computers or something) |

i know that there are some fucks on here, but i kinda feel like one. it's not just on the mb that i seem to piss people off either. i constantly seem to get the evil eye at work, although as far as i'm aware i haven't done anything to warrant that kind of treatment. i'm guessing i just have that kind of air about me, you know? the air that stinks of a substance that fills people with rage, kinda like that virus thing in 28 Days Later or something |

At the end of the day it's all words on a screen and it's a real shame for anyone to let themselves be negatively affected by it. We all come here out of choice so just take it easy and have fun. |

yeh i guess i do, but i've always had thin skin.........i'm a stick anyways! i guess it all kinda stems from school, and just wanting to be accepted somewhere. wherever i've lived, even in my hometown, i've never ever been accepted. i've always been regarded as an outsider or something, so i've always been an easy target for abuse and such. but over the years i kinda thought that maybe it is just me being annoying or something.... i dunno........ i don't mean to be using xlt as a free psycho therapy or something! i only wanted to apologize :( |

I guess these are lonely times. People want closure and I guess messageboards is a pretty safe way to get it. People want to be accepted but forums tend to become a digital projection of society. Sometimes people try too hard and make asses of themselves. It is hard to feel part of a community that already has a tight core of old members who know each other etc. Many times you feel like a simpleton or an idiot. The only thing to do is make the best of the whole situation. Ofcourse there's the whole written/speech obstacle. One just has to take everything less seriously. Ofcourse for neurotic people like me or as it seems oscillik that's a very hard thing to do. |

I wouldn't worry too much about winding people up, as far as I can tell 90% of the conversation around here is either piss taking or random bullshit, same as any forum or messageboard. People joke, get insulted and make up. Its what you do with the other 10% that counts. You make and share exceedingly good music oscillik, and for that I thank you. |
