is it just me or do releases in general get out of print
faster and faster? °_°

Pan Sonic, OOIOO, Acid Mothers Temple, eX-Girl, Nurse With
Wound, Coil, Cibo Matto, The Books, etc... just one or two
of their releases are available (if at all sometimes!), and
they're just examples, it seems like now when you're looking
for something a bit rare you have to hurry because they get
out of print in a few months after release date...

i was just writing some reviews about albums i got and i
just checked out of curiosity, and even an album i got two
months ago and released in 2004 (not even a limited edition)
is now out of print!!!

what the hell?

It's like the music world is going all Logan's Run because
of overpopulation and albums have to be killed when they
mature.

half the reason is that nowadays record companies count
their chickens before they hatch, in the good old days
they'd print a bucketload and git rid of them as fast as
they could, if there was ever an order fomr a rogue store
somewhere, they'd order it in straight fomr the company,
which would have them lying around, but it's done a little
differently nowadays, they see how much the stores want
before they make them, and send them all out to the stores,
leaving none of them lying around at the record company
which means that they are all in stores, but there are none
left ot 'order in'

And I'm very happy to have 256k mp3s of it. :D

Maybe if selfish people would stop making music it would
drive up demand for 1970s film scores.
