Should I call my ex?

So, this was 6 years ago, freshman year of highschool, I
dated this girl. Long story short, we broke up, I moved, and
never saw her again.

Ive always been curious what shes up to, shes a real cool
girl, but didnt know how to find her.

But now I think ive found her parents phone number.

what do you think, should I call? She might be there. Or it
could be the wrong number. Or maybe its the number, but she
isnt there.

Kinda akward I know...

thoughts?

My advice is to not do it. She will probably think you are
creepy.

that could be true too.

tell her you found some old tampons of hers you were saving
and you wanted to know if she wanted them back

it might be weird feeling.. but it might be worth
it... i guess the only thing you have to lose is your
former "non-creepiness" in her perspective..

If you thought she was really cool at the age of 14, she is
going to be completely obnoxious at the age of 20.

what the fuck is that supposed to mean?

offline sneakattack on 2004-05-16 21:50 [#01191283]

think about the possible outcomes: 99% of what can happen is
bad (creep her out, hurting your feelings, etc) or worthless
(short shallow conversation(s). Very slim chance of
anything decent coming out of it, and define decent (what
you hope to get)

Mimi whatever you just said was wack.

Zeus, if you had HER number and found it by totally innocent
means (lor her email) then I'd say fuck yeah call her see hw
she is but ... parent's phnum is like a big dodgy sorry
mate.

That reminds me I should invite my oldschool ex out again
(we're friends, she's really cool)

on the other hand she could say like, "oh zeus from boston
(united states), i never forgot you! i haven't washed my
lips since that distant day in the ninth grade! take me,
zeus from boston, take me now!" and that would totally rule.

don't

what would you think when a girl you knew from 9th grade
calls. she must have been one hell of a fine girl if you
think she's not a creep.

i think you posted this because you actually do want to do
it and want an extra push to do so, or maybe you dont want
it but you are to curious to find out what happens

it's the way my doubtfulness works

i say dont do it

I say do it and never look back.. . who cares? so one way
you can add her to your list of friends again or cross her
off and forget.. . go for it.. . ask her out for a drink or
something casual. ..

I got hold of my ex, only a year later, to say sorry for
some of the shit I said about her. She was cool about it.
Seen her a couple of times since and we've had a chat. Ex
before her though I haven't spoken to and I don't think I
will/want to.

of course you shouldn't.

try to get hold of where she lives, then stalk her for a
while until you're sure you can show up at her shopping mall
'unexpectedly', get married and happily live on ever after
:(

iow: does letting the past be the past sound like good
advice? that is, except if you're sure she's the true one,
in retrospect.
