This movie is wondeful imo, anyway I'd like to know if you
liked more Vol. I or Vol. II.
Two great faces of same medal, anyway...

\/\/.

I saw the 2nd part before the 1st, and the 2nd part is
awesome! The first part was cool to, but I would like to see
the complete movie and not the cut version that was shown in
the theatres.

is it "in style" not to like this film nowadays? it's like
"post coolness," because most of the people I've talked to
doesn't like the film because they claim it hides behind
tarantinos name, while they fail to realise that IT ISN'T A
SERIOUS FILM! IT'S A PARODY/TRIBUTE/COMEDY!!!

I'm not necessarily saying YOU do, but I KNOW some of the
people I talk to doesn't like it because it's "cool" to not
like quentin-films after reservoir dogs...

I loved it, and am looking forward to seeing #2 (no
money!!!)

hmm, i watched it at home, so i don't know if it was the
short version...i kind of doubt i'd get any better if it was
30 minutes longer or shorter tho...

mastah...yeah, im stylish.

you're in style! You hang with the upper design-underground
elite of Chicago (the "post chic, post cool city")

I went to see Vol.2 last night and my hopes for the movie
were destroyed. It didn't flow at all, there was way too
much dialogue and too many shifty ideas with the camera
work. I have yet to see Vol.1 but my mate says it's better
than Vol.2. All in all though I was very dissapointed. The
only good thing I have to say about Vol.2 is the kung-fu
master pai mei was pretty funny.

for me it's difficult to say if i prefer vol.I or vol.II
both are excellents movies, maybe I prefered vol.I for the
originality, but vol.II is great too.

I like long dialogues in Tarantino movie but I like
everything in his movies.

and what about the beautiful shoes dressed by Uma Thurman in
Vol.I? It's a limited edition by ASICS ONITSUMO TIGER, here
below you can view actual price on ebay...

apples and oranges, but i'd say i probably liked volume 2
more.

1 was very stylish and flashy, but two was classic
tarantino, and executed very well.

quite similarly there is quite a large group that LOVE those
films because of Tarantinos supposed coolness.

why does everybody like Vol.2 so much? I try to make things
simple by asking myself after a movie, "Did I enjoy that?".
My answer in this case was no.

from what I have read, I would expect I would like part 2
more, because it's supposedly heavier on Tarantino-dialogue,
which can be his stronger point, I think.

could still be shit, ofcourse. :D

there's more dialogue in a 30 sec commercial about tooth
brush than there is in the kill bill vol.1

so 2nd part could hardly have any less...

how about silences interupted by dialogue to make it feel
like there is loads of dialogue?

well, if there wouldn't be any music or sound effects it
would be a very silent movie...

im thinking that he had a lucky hand picking actors like he
did for pulp fiction and reservoir dogs...probably they
improvised a lot, and that made tarantino look good...maybe.

2 was more plot driven than 1, whereas 1 was more of a nod
to all the films that influenced tarantino. which made for
a entertaining, stylized film for sure, but imo volume two
was a more polished film. and, like qrter so aptly
supposed, quentin stuck with what he does best in volume
two, and he did it very well. but, pai mei's scene was
stylized enough to provide continuity from vol. 1.

and the meeting with bill wasn't anything like most people
expected, but i think that's what made it so refreshing.

really, this whole question is kinda moot since it
should be considered one film. but, basically, if
you don't like film making simply for the art of film making
and/or tarantino's work specifically, chances are pretty
strong you won't like kill bill.

Vol.II is great too, much less action and blood anyway there
is some splatter there too.

I liked Carradine and Madsen was superlative too.

Vol.II is more "pulp" than Vol.I imo.
