Rumours flying around on this messageboard to do with Shaun
of the Dead that Aphex is scoring Tim Burton's Willy Wonka.

Personally i don't believe it

I think you're right not to believe it.

I haven't seen any rumour regarding this anywhere..

I thought this was going to show photographic proof of
rDICKj scoring "Willy Wonka", the brand-new Class A powdered
narcotic.

I don't.

Anyway, the rumour was started by popbitch a while ago so I
don't hold any hope of it coming true. Would be nice though.

If you ever try thinking about which parts of your body are
functioning as stabilizers when you are moving, you'd be
surprised as to how many parts actually ARE used as
stabilizers!

I don't think Prokofiev's score for peter and the wolf can
be topped, especially not by a lame-o like mr. Sq. Pusher

I bet it'll be Danny Elfman, like almost every other Tim
Burton movie.

My coins go to Elfman too, but would be interesting a
Burton/Twin contribution...his film probably would be turned
into a flim...(AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! KILL ME!!)

Maybe RDJ will do all the sound effects for the candy making
machines. Or maybe this is just a bogus rumor. My vote goes
to the latter

it WILL be Danny Elfman.

Well, Aphex is out, but with Burton on direction, the
candy-types probably will have at least a little bizarreness

i think the movie is not sympathetic. with that spoilt girl
being dropped down the garbage tube, that's awful

Well, I was out for a meal with my friends tonight and
mentioed the genius that was a new Wonka film.

My friend Calire turned to me and goes:

Oh, I was working on those sets the other week. Helping to
make them and stuff.

FUCKING HELL WOMAN!

she's not dropped down it - that was the point.

all the horrible things happen to those children because
they're horrible themselves.

I like Roald Dahl's look on childrens literature - not a
sanitized version of reality that can solely be seen as
"sympathetic", but with dark edges.

I'm afraid this film will not be a work of genius.

the original was a very good film. no real need to remake
it.

anyway.. did she tell you anything else?

it was a rumour that started on Popbitch (hardly reliable
source) about six months ago. Probably based on the fact
he'd sampled the original movie on a couple of tracks.
