Man, I don't beleive this but over at WATMM Joyrex is
saying that phobia has had enough of the bullshit here and
was going to close the site down, but Joyrex has told him he
will buy the domain name and code and any work that has been
done on the site so far and integrate it with WATMM's
existing stuff :(

I don't beleive this shit...

phobia's not been online since yesterday evening, and Joyrex
wouldn't do a joke like this because he knows the shit it
could potentially cause.

Do the webmasters realize that people don't use anything
other than the messageboard?

I doubt it since phob recently put all that time, effort and
cash into upgrading the server. I heard another rumour that
Richard D James is going to be taking over as our new Prime
Minister.

dunno but will this mean nacmat will become a mod on this
board? also i think it will destroy the community
atmosphere we have here. :(

Yes and since then people have just been pissing about on
the board. I don't know exactly how much Joyrex has paid
but I assume Phobia will easily make his money back...it's
just whether Joyrex can afford to run a dedicated
server...think about it...a dedi is what joyrex has wanted
for some time now. it makes perfect sense.

Someone (other than me) could easily recreate the general
concept of a website where people add text. Maybe a crafty
person could give us avatars, but even that's not necessary.
The only reason this place is the place to go is because it
was first on the google rankings, but if everyone here
agreed to just go to some other substitute messageboard it'd
be pretty much the same. Maybe there's even a free one
somewhere to use.

I could do one if we needed it. I just wish someone hadn't
made it so obvious it was an april fools so near the top.
we could have got at least one dismayed reaction before
realisation set in.

it is a shame joyrex and phob didn't think to do something
like this themselves !

:)

"I just wish someone hadn't made it so obvious it was an

with that I assume you mean your own starting post then..?
:P

I'm sorry, Lee. try another one later on. I'll keep quiet.

Nah I can't be arsed now. Some people will still read the
opening post and shit themselves but then post that they
knew it was all a joke. It will still have sort of the
desired effect :D

I wonder what Phobias reaction will be when he sees the
topic title?

hours left..

International Law states that April Fool prank can only be
carried out between 12 midnight and 12 midday in your local
time zone. After twelve midday fooling must cease otherwise
you become the fool for carrying it on.

These people were believing that there was a deafening
military weapon that shot reversed baby screams a day ago,
so they'll probably believe this... even if the second post
makes the joke obvious... to normal people.
