...both play in Dublin next saturday. *yawns non-chalently

Now i have a bit of a dilema

Photek:
- Saw him once before - loved it
- Tight-ass drum n bass and banging jungle
- Gave us the legendary track "Ni Ten Ichi Ryu" with the
best b&w video ever
- the gig will be full of horny drum n bass chicks

Plaid
- Saw 3 times before, twice CRAP, last time (warpbus tour
... unbelievably amazing)
- nice beats n melodies (the melodies can be a bit simple
somethimes though)
- Great visuals lined up
- the gig will be full of horny warp chicks
- dead men don't wear it

Oh, what to do!

Advise?

drum and bass fucking rules. Youre confused. Dance is the
dying donkey.

I was only joking. A couple ago, I would have given my left
arm to see the big DnB-artists. But last year, when the man
himself, Goldie, was visiting this litte shithole I live in,
I didn't go. Doesn't braindance rule? I love to put on my
old DnB-records, but when I hear new releases, I can't help
but think that it sound a bit dated.

i still love it, even though its pretty repetitive. I cant
dance to braindance, i hate dance, and i fucking love moving
to dnb. Its just so much cooler than shitty dance. I love
IDM, but i wouldnt go to a club to listen to it. If i go to
a club i want to dance, i dont want ear bleeding whirrs and
clicks... nice as they are in their right place

yeh.. i agree with a lot there:

i love the locked-in DnB dance thing, but also the
head-swaying groove of electronica.

dnb dated? not if its the latest thing really plus when i
saw photek last year he did play stuff that varies as much
as a decent electronica set, and it is rare to see him.

But, Plaid impressed me soo much the last time and their
visuals should be pretty good and Warp gigs usually have
supprt DJ's that play AFX/Squarepusher/Autechre and i love
hearing that shit at a club... so

Plaid wins!

Tuff choice.
Im a big fan of Photek , bigger then Plaid but i think you
are making the right choice KEYFUMBLER . It is all about the
live experience and i think Plaid will provide a greater
one.

i saw photek at fabric, seriously dissapointed. maybe
because loads of drum n bass people i know thought he played
'really futurisitc beats' and that he was 'something you've
never heard before'

cue 2 hours of the same 2-step beat and slightly varying
bassline

the set was shit, but i love that tune sidewinder.

I think you'd enjoy the photek show a bit more, but that's
just me.

I'd rather listen to Plaid and not listen to Photek and not
see either of them.

planning to get laid? If so, see photek. Are you planning to
