it's just the fucking bomb...

although I have only been listening to "The downward spiral"
and "The fragile", I can safely put NIN on my list on
perfect music.
There is a lot of layers of exellence, and I seem to keep
seing new ones.

Agree/Disagree?

NIN is the fucking bomb

i've been into NIN for years now, and he was my springboard
into complex music (as in music with more than 8 audio
tracks!!!)

I hope to get to know NINs music soon...

you have any other rockbands you like, perhaps some new band
I haven't heard yet?

well....i haven't really been into much rock/metal other
than NIN lately...it seems that rock has slipped out of my
grip and found replacements like hiphop and electronic shit

rock/metal-genre than hiphop/electronic

well yeah if you put it like that :)

The Downward Spiral is the most industrial sounding release
(in my opinion anyways)

the fragile is my favorite rock record of all time, you'd
love the remix album to downward spiral, further down the
spiral... imo its better than the downward spiral

i love nin. tds is one of my favorite albums of all time,
and fdts is also excellent for being a 'remix' album. it was
also my intro to rdj and everything else, so it's an
important release for me.

i never gave the fragile much of a chance for some reason, i
still need to go back and do that.

Broken has always been my thing...the stripdown most
badassness you can shove into 33 min. it was like he took an
already great album and trimed out anything that wasn't
complete brilliance.

have any of you guys heard the remix record for The Fragile,
what was it called, damn can't remember. it was around the
time i was lagging on buying Nails stuff right away. i never
did get it. any good.

i love the V2 version of FDTS just for the Clouser mixes.
that fool is it.

i used to really love nin.

for the past 4 or 5 years though i can't get into them as
much as i used to. trent's lyrics just seem so much more
shallow now that i'm not as angsty as i was in 1995.

i liked the fragile, but i never was engulfed by it
like i was the other albums... this thread has convinced me
to put it back in my car though.

i really really hope the new album is good.

HOLY FVCK!

i just realized that the downward spiral is 10 years
old as of, pretty much, right now.

i feel older than shit.

i didn't get it until '96 because up until then i was in my
gansta rap 'phase'. i had of course heard 'closer' in the
club, though.
