Does anyone else have this? I just bought it off of
half.ebay.com, it didn't say otherwise, but the CD I got
says "WAP161CDP PROMO ONLY" on the top edge.

Does anyone else show this on theirs?

To me, this EP doesn't sound anything like the album before
or after it, which strikes me as weird since the cover art
is so similar to Empty The Bones...

I was kind of let down when I listened to it expecting some
kind of bridge between his two excellent albums. Oh well.

Oooh. I just gave this another chance and I like it quite a
bit now. He makes some pretty good, dramatic tracks.

slow spines has the extra stuff on empty the bones, though.
there is some other stuff exclusive to that EP that is great
though.

haven't listened for quite while. but shonny IS a good'un. a
grower, sort of like the ep as a whole actually. might dig
it out again soon.

Yeah i got it. I love that first track, I wanna hear it on
dmt or something. Thing is it's so compressed I gotta crank
it up rrreal high and then I'll forget to turn it down
again. I'm sure the neighbours don't mind.

I can't seem to start a new topic for "Empty the bones of
you", the automatic system is broken?

Anyways, I liked Cermamics... and downloaded the title track
of Emptythe Bones of You, which wasn't very good so I never
went back to it, and was pretty satisfied with the EP (Yeah,
first track the Gavel is awesome).

But I finally got the whole thing and I love it, I just
downloaded the wrong track.

It has good tracks scattered throughout, with particular
pairings that I like being 01. and 02., and also 12. (Gravel
(obliterated), sounds like a version of Gavel, check it out)
and 13. FULL beats that I love and melodies that are great,
I really like Empty the Bones of You a lot. It's got Slow
Spines too which is great even though it's also on the EP.

This has really grown on me. Ceramics is the Bomb is where
he started to show his potential for me, and this release
seems to show even more. I'm excited to hear his new stuff
whenever that may be. He was fun to see in New York and I
hope he comes back.

Just a friendly reminder, this is a music messageboard.

There is some stuff I really really love on this album.

Foremost: The Gavel- the way the 4/4 beat comes back in
after the noise buildup/pause around 2:10. If you have some
bass in your car this absolutley POUNDS. Sounds so awsome.

Secondly: Shonny- When he brings the beat hard at 1:35 with
the metallic cowbell sounds... (I always picture Will
Ferrell freaking out in this part, a la SNL).

I could have done without this version of Slow Spines,
however. I prefer the version on Empty The Bones...

The Gavel is spectacular. Favourite Clark track even after 5
albums since then. What's with the title - Chris in a bit of
legal trouble?

Do you have the Throttle Clarence stuff? It's all in the vein
of Clarence Park especially that Proper Lo-Fi track. Great
shit
