i dunno if it's just me or what, on the last few cd's i've
purchased of theirs the tracks at the end are all fucked up
and barely play... really they don't even play with out
skipping like a mother. I've tried 'em out in like every
player i could and it's the same all the time. it was like
that the very first time i ever played them right after
opening. my cd's don't have any scratches. does anyone
know why or have the same problems with their warp cd's?
manufacturing maybe?

the cd's i noticed it happening with are Aphex Twin - 26
Mixes For Cash
( both discs, although it starts several
tracks earlier on the 2nd) and Warp - Routine

no, i'm positive it's not my cd player because it used to be
only 26 mixes untill i just bought routine a couple days ago
and it does the same thing too. those are the only two out
of 200+ in my collection that are so bad at the end they
just skip forever and i can't listen to the rest.

i have a really old cd player....and sometimes cd'
skip.....

But on warp the only things skip are:

Warpmart 1 (last 2-3 tracks) and another CD....the rest is
working

I had that very same problem a few years ago, and I can
(almost) asure you: it's your player.

I bought the Glengarry Glen Ross Soundtrack (which I can
heavily recommend, by the way) from www.secondspin, and the
last few tracks were barely playable. Other cd's were just
dandy.

Thinking it must be the cd, I bought a new one which was
just fine.

But...slowly but surely more and more cd's became poor;
always the last coulpe of tracks. Must be a laser thing...

At the end, the entire machine stalled, skipped, farted,
fucked up etc. almost every cd. Some it didn't, which is why
I say: it is your player, dude.

ok, oooh! you know what i just remembered...? yeah, the
player in my car was made in 98, i just don't understand why
only those. but the stereo in my house is not even a year
old and it does it also... even now that i think about it on
SAW II... because i listen to that like every night
going to sleep not in my car hardly ever...

dont blame warp

26 mixes for cash has lots of skipping or glitchng problems

(bowie mix and track 2 disc 2 above all)

Gah, fer the last time the 'skip' in heroes is on purpose,
it is a part of da rhythm and it sounds great, leave it
alone!

not skip a lil bit i mean like when a cd is scratched to all
hell and your car stereo barely plays it like it skips and
jumps around a lot but to a minimal degree to where it
sounds like rdj is remixing the song inside my dashboard,
which i find enjoyable still...

it's kind of an odd situation because these cd's i have are
mint. and it's not like the player jacks them up from the
get go but when it gets to the last track sometimes last
several tracks it takes a major shit and like freezes up.
it's annoying yeah, but i'm just like oh well it was almost
over anyways... so i didin't know if i should contact warp
about it... it's not the entire cd tho i still feel cheated
'cause i paid full price not like they were sold with any
discount for not playing the last several tracks...

i just realized, as a consumer the corporations have me
whooped to where i'm complacent with my product not working
to full satisfaction like if you only get 90% of what you
pay for that's ok?!
