Check out some 'Caural' off the Chocolate Industries label.

Here's a stream of a, hour block of Chocolate
Industries music a radio station did. Once there go look
under the December section and you'll see it. The first 4
songs they play are Caural.

guitar - sunkissed (morr music) - shoegazer stuff,
very nice.
tied & tickled trio - observing systems (morr music)
- jazzy+beepy :)
mojave 3 - spoon & rafter (i dunno the label) - more
shoegazer stuff with member(s?) of slowdive
air - talkie walkie (i dunno the label again) -
there's a recent thread about it, featuring my bumping it
time and time again because i loooove it so so much.

those are my favourite albums lately, i can't get enough of
any of them.

well, first of all, if you haven't listened to Fennesz, you
should give him a listen... i think it takes a few listens
to get accustomed to, but the you realize how beautiful it
is (guitar glitch ambient)... his work with Pita and Jim
O'Rourke as "Fenn'o'Berg" is also very nice... and if you've
heard that already, or find this whole electroacoustic
ambient/noise thing to be interesting... (and i'm hoping
that there are at least a few people who will give it a
chance) you should check out:

Kevin Drumm
Joseph Suchy
Ekkehard Ehlers (as the thirdball has mentioned.... word to
montreal, boyo!)
Tim Hecker
Oren Ambarchi
Janek Schaefer
Christian Marclay
Philip Jeck
Otomo Yoshihide
Lithops
Oval
Microstoria
Twine
Chris Watson
Keith Rowe
etc.

if anyone finds this shit to be of use, and wants to know
more, i'd love to talk about others... but i'm still kind of
feeling my way through a lot of it myself... even if you
don't wanna know about anyone else... let me know what you
think about it, because it'd be nice to talk with people
about it...

listen to "apocalype across the sky" by the master musicians
of jajouka. (timeless moroccan music, unique, hypnotic and
piercing)

"endless summer" by fennesz. (guitar with warm summery
melodies twisted and torn apart, off kilter beats of
static)

"stengel" or "apikal blend" by sogar. (sparkling and flowing
electric textures with no beats)

"thembi" by pharoah sanders. (pan african jazz with a large
ensemble, memorable fluid melodies and occasional freak
outs)

"whats come inside of you" by freescha. (wobbly teenage
sexual fantasy filtered through the late 70's and eighties,
reminescent of casino vs japan and boc but with a completely
different sensibility, the artwork fits perfectly so if you
can view it, you'll understand the album)
