I'm using Winddows XP
Nothing that's not needed has been installed and in all cases they were re-installs.
Done full virus checks, spyware scans using ad-aware and spybot.

Is there anything particular you happen to be doing when it freezes? Have you defragged the hard drive?

are you using icq?
my computer used to freeze up all the time. I use XP too.
after a while I thought, "hey, might it be that notorious over-heavy program called icq?"
and it was. never froze after I deinstalled it.
now I use Miranda.

sometimes Ad-aware and those programs might not be able to remove all spy-ware files... I had a big hassel there over Christmas cleaning up my computer which was full of that shit... used to be super slow and would freeze lots... but I fixed it up and it works fine now...

i haven't reinstalled my windows98 in like 2 years. when i turn it on there's like 20 error popups which i have to close down before i can start doing anything.
i have it turned on 24/7 and it freezes about 2,3 times per day.
i have about 80 gigs of data on harddrive so i first need to burn all that on cd's and then i'll reformat it. can't wait for this actually. i've been preparing for this for about a year already...so it should be any time now :)

Maybe it's because you're gay and aren't being honest with yourself.
