They seem to have invested quite some money into this. I hope it is as good as the original...
I'm gonna watch it in the theatres if I the possability arrive.

im just so happy to see romero still has it.
this makes alot of the lame zombie movies that have come down the pike since his last 'dead' movie seem SO bland and tame.
the vibe of this contains so much mroe actual terror and drama than those old pre-fabbed plotlines and the xeroxed characters of other horror flicks.

yes it was.
i really enjoyed that, because it was more based around the actual characters, and not just seeing people get tore up.
it was more of a "if you were having to deal with this situation in real life, it might go down somethign like this..." kinda thing.
thats one thing the original "night of..." had: a realistic approach to horror. it was also quite controversial at the time to have a black man as the heroic voice-of-reason type character, which i also applaud him for.
awesome awesome awesoem.

When you say:
"im just so happy to see romero still has it."
what do you mean? From what i read the only thing he has to do with this movie is signing the big fat check for writing the original...he's not directing or anything....Tom Savini appears to be the only person from the original movie...it better be good damn it!!

i guess i just assumed romero directed the remake, since his name is plastered all over it.
well, whoever they got to direct did an awesoem job... it looks very true to the spirit of the originals.

Honestly if i were directing i'd take the story and put a twist on it...like now everyone in america is obbsessed with the mall...so maybe instead of the four people trying to secure the mall...maybe have them fight their way out? or trap all the zombies in it? Who am i to dream though...

I think it looks good, but a bit pointless. I know I'll enjoy it though. It looks as promising as I could have hoped for, actually, there aren't any glaring fuckups that I can point out, YET.
YET.

It looks like a total piece of shit tbh, but then, no remake will ever be able to top the original, not even with Ving Rhames in it. Kinda weird to do a remake of the centre piece of the trilogy first too. Why not start with Night of the living dead?

That one's already been butchered though, Hollywood needed new meat.
