Warp ought to bid ridiculously high to win, just to get his
name and address and then snub him the cash and strike him
off their promo list. Harsh, Harsh but fair...

seriously, how long is it going to take this fucker to get
leaked? it's been too long already.

at SOME point i mean, doesnt the law of averages dictate
that some friend of one of these reviewers is going to like,
stay overnight at d00d's place, nab the CD, copy it or mp3
it for themselves, then give it out?

it can't be more than a few weeks, can it? i mean there's
absolutely no way that someone isn't going to leak this til
march 9th... i know drukqs was out in august of 01, draft
was out before it was released (altho it was a tape or
something like that)

cuz invariably, all it takes is someone ot get a copy, share
it on slsk, and then it's out. this album seems to be so
fucking good that you know people who know people with the
promo are all over it, so i mean, law of fucking averages,
this shit is out soon, right?

cuz let's face it. most of us will buy the album even if we
had hte mp3s already... but this is music, and it's ironic
that this promo has been so tightly guarded when tommy boy
is mister "i'm going to turn music into a commodity and
maximize every parameter until it destroys itself"

the b0y is dipped in acid, surely he can't give too much of
a fuck if the album is floating around before everyone gets
the privledge of spending $14 on it, right?

Yeah, I came close to buying it just then. I would certainly
rip it if I got it. That is what made me not bid - I figured
(hope) the buyer would share this mentality.

offline sinicalypse from cantankerous clone metropolis (United States) on 2004-01-12 18:07 [#01030007]
Points: 47 Status: Addict

wow, it went for ~$116 in american dollars, like 67 pounds.

i swear, while i want to hear this so fucking bad, paying
$115 on an album that is going to, at worst, be out within
two full months time if not be slskable within hopefully a
few weeks, is asinine.

offline qrter from the future, and it works (Netherlands, The) on 2004-01-12 18:08 [#01030008]

it went for £62.52..

..jesus..

offline sinicalypse from cantankerous clone metropolis (United States) on 2004-01-12 18:13 [#01030017]

its a rather sweet deal for the guy who sold it, as he's
getting his 63 pounds, likely has dumped the cd to wav/mp3,a
nd then will get the album for free through the place he got
the promo from.

now that, my friends, is a fucking deal. here's to hoping
warp prosecutes the fuXr who's using the fact that it isnt
leaked to his financial advantage.

someone is going to, its the one who just sold it. now aint
that sweet, you sell the exclusive promo for 115$ and then
let all the world have it :>
