It's normally a newbie favourite topic title but I'm bring

This track is great, who agrees?

No-one to talk to about it tho except for here.

I know what you mean... didn't think a geek like Richard

Yes, I watched the video to it this afternoon over lunch.
Still a cracking track and I love Luke Vibert's intro...
that's crying out for a 5 minute remix.

Windowlicker is quite fantastically overrated.
Now don't get me wrong, I likes it. But people just go
insane about it.

I remember when it leaked on joyrex.com, I was so happy.. so
many people thought it was a fake. I must have listened to
that realaudio file a bazillion times.

What I like about windowlicker: the deep voice slowing to a
gurguly sound (i've been doing that with my voice since
pre-school) combined with the lush female vocal makes a
beautiful warm texture. Also, Nice snare sample..That
fucking amazing plucky bass synth that's always
changing...Then the quick edits and the bazillion things
going on in the simplicity of the basic textures he sets up.
It's Genuis. One of my favorite tracks of all time. If not
THE favorite.

Surely the most PORNO of any of his tracks...

Stunning amount of minute details in it as well; one of
those rare tracks that's enjoyable as both a throw-away
dance track & prime headphone material...

the lush female vocal is rdj's voice

I'd believe that (about the vocal), but where's the proof?

I absolutely love windowlicker, I think its one of the best
aphex tunes in existence. I remember when I first heard it,
downloaded the advance of it off of some mp3 ftp
I was shocked
before that I was used to the rdj album/ctd styles, nothing
could have prepared me for the aural ...onslaught which
ensued
...jupiter was aligned with pluto
hjaha
anyway, I wish that he would have gone somewhere with that
whole dealy, or at least with that equation tune
the equation tune is also one of my faves
must have aphex twin
