Antarctica Vs The World [my new concept track to celebrate upgrading my zebox account]

I have mentioned this a few times to a few people--my
concept track, Antarctica Vs The World. When I
mentioned it to vSnares, he thought it was a funny idea, as
did Yavo and various others... it has, however, slightly
changed, and it is now uploaded here.

Please download, listen, and, if applicable, tell me which
country you reached...

Is it a vocoder or text to speech?

this is absolutely genius. and awesome. and reallllly damn

haha ^^

completely silly, and very nice!! =)
well done.

(you may have actually forgot some locations - i checked the
country selection menu on xlt while listening, and i think
there are some missing... but who cares really!! ^^)

Text To Speech ;)

01) I had to type in each country and convert to a .speech
file
02) I had to put each .speech file into the Floops Piano
Roll
03) I had to export each country as a .wav file
04) I had to sequence all the country .wav files into Cool
Edit !

05) I had to make the backing track!

I actually did the TTS stuff over a month ago!!

hi uzim - thanks v. much! I missed out certain Islands which
fall under the jurisdiction of other countries, and also a
few African countries... but apart from that, they should
all just about be there!!

spoonz, I can easily make an instrumental version :D

that would be pretty awesome of you if you did, even if you
only host it for a short time. i liked it a lot.

i like it a lot,
nice chords to begin with, and an original idea,
i don't know about the doubled tempo halfway.. maybe i
would've liked it even more if you'd sticked with that
relaxed beat, i dunno.
also props for the end, i have an idea that the track is not
complete sillyness

btw you spared my little country right, or didn't i listen
close enough

nice

morton, your country is under "holland" ;) Originally it was
all going to be 200bpm gabba!! That doubling is all that's
left of THAT!

Tolstoyed... happy to see your country name-checked? ;)

thanks! I just listened to it again--you know, the actual
music and percussion in it, I knocked up today in about an
hour!

My friend said, and I agree, that when it says "Fuck
America" the second time, it is really quite powerful... and
America wasn't meant to be the last country listed...I just
realised at the end that I'd missed it out, and so put it
in! :D It's good how those kind of things happen!

Reminds me of a split gabber album I was suppost to do with
a Xlt member a while ago! ;)

Nice idea with this track Paul. although the American accent
on the voice I don't approve of. Why couldn't you get a
Antartic text2voice program eh? ;D

What's it saying before the country names? Sounds like
"truck" :) 'm guessing it's actually "fuck"...

Excellent track anyway, even without the voice, but the
voice makes it and fits the glitchy side of it well. Good
work!

Blame Fruityloops for that Yankee accent! :D

BTW, I'm still up for that gabba collabba... did you see my
Gabba Acronym in another thread earlier?

This is the first track I made using Reason btw :D!

that voice is a real nice idea, though it's a bit long before
a real 'song' develops, imo. The concept is beautiful, the
little glitchy bass perfectly fits the voice, a little more
variety wouldn't hurt it, the changes are very subtle, but
maybe that's the whole intention. i love the melody which
starts around 3:00. It would sound nicer without the voice,
can't it get a bit more to the background half-way? the
bass-change around 4:00 is actually good,

a very good track! 2:46 for holland dude!

I'm afraid the main focus for the track was always intended
to be the TTS voice rattling off the list of countries! I'm
glad you enjoyed the musical accompaniment...I might take it
off and make it as a little track all to itself! :D

thanks for all these listens! I was really expecting only
about 2 replies!
