Well that was fun! Though, I seemed to miss Afx AND Gescom
somehow :S

I still prefered the Halloween and Neighbourhood gigs
though-better music imo. However, this rave had a really
nice crowd-alive and mental!

Did any of you go? I know I saw a couple of people from
these forums...

Oh right, so that's what happened.
Kinda dissapointing really, my mates loved him when he
played at the Neighbourhood and we were waiting for him in
the rephlex room but that same other guy kept on going.

yeah, awesome night.
I was waiting around for aphex too, but he didn't show
*tsk*. Remark and Shitmat were ace. The Bug wasn't bad
either. Did you see leafcutter john and the crazy bra thing
that he'd wired up?

One thing's for sure: i've never been so glad to see a
24hour sainsburys!
And yes, murray, you were right, i don't think i should have
eaten that weird pasta thing in a can without heating it! it
tasted so good at 5:45 this morning but now the thought of
it makes me feel physically sick *eugh* :-/

Twas a good evening, much more of a social event than the
past. Me, Jules nad Packman never usually socialize as much
as we were doing that night. Excellent party, satyed in the
Planet-µ room for the majority of it. Telica, that woman
that was talking to Packman was really fuckin' weird, she
was telling him that she loves him by the end of it. And i
met some new friends, including insanely cool dreadlock girl
(or 'Francis' as she is called). She's pictured below. Met a
really cool girl called Annabella, she was excellent.

All of the acts were great apart from Leafcutter John who i
was dissapionted with, but it picked up immensley when
Chevron came on. Mike P was excellent on both his DJ and
live sets, shitmat was mind bendingly excellent. You have to
love dancing to Gabba, it's such a great thing to dance to.
Remarc was also very good, again immense stuff to dance to.

Pictures will follow soon.

yeah, i thought leafcutter john was a bit of a gimp. I gave
up listening to him after about 15mins and went to the ai
room instead.
that woman was pretty funny, as was the one with long blonde
hair that kept randomly hugging people. Pacman must have
been stoopidly hot in that hat of his. You're right: he is
a pretty rad raver. His mini-mosh was fun too (until he
elbowed me really hard in the chest and i went flying. i
have a really nasty bruise :(

You mean Annabella, she was the bollocks, she was so nice.
Had a nice chat with her about different techniques on how
to dance to gabba.

Packman is the shit of a raver, he can rave with the best of
them. I dont think he ment to elbow you, he's a kind caring
bloke who wouldn't harm a fly. I pleaded with him not to
start a mosh pit for shitmat as we would have been killed to
bits. But he did start a little one up, bless him. Yeah he
was baking in that hat, his hair was so fucked.

And i totally agree with the Sainsburys, i wish i had eaten
something healthy like fruit instead of Mcoys and a flake
bar, i was paying for that on the train ride home i tell
thee.

By the way if anyone is/was wondering, what was written on
Packman's shirt on the front was 'Capitolism is Death' and
on the back it says 'Bob Dole says "Dance like your selling
nails"'

i know he didn't mean it, bless him :)

does anyone know who the guy was playing in the ai room at
the end? i always see him wondering about at raves with a
massive camera, but this is the first time i've seen him
doing a set - who is he?

I dont post here very often at all but I though I'd give my
opinions of the night.

The U room was by far my favourite, due to what I thought
was very similar music coming from the Ai room, but the
rephlex room was good too, yet i missed astrobotnia so that
annoyed me (bloody incredible lasers in there though).

U-Ziq was my favourite act followed by Chevron (was right at
the front next to Murray, so hopefully i got my hand in a
couple of croud shots ;) ).

It wasnt as good as The Coronet but still one hell of a
night...

By the way, if Murray posts his picture of some bloke with
short black hair with his head in the bass for Chevron,
thats my mate Dave. Still, was cool meeting/seeing some of
you there. And I think i shall have to get that new U-Ziq
album after the amazing amount of hype he was giving it.

µ-ziq's set?

What was that tit thing lol? Was it actually making those
noises?

The guy playing that set seemed stoned out of his mind!

Yeah the one to your right - with the light brown hair who
kept on requesting Swan Vesta.

=oD

Hey man how's it going? Your friend was insane putting his
head right inside that amp for like 2 minutes. It was great.
You were well alright from what i remeber. The majority of
what µ-ziq was playing was off of Bilious Paths
(click here for samples) and the rest was off of Lunatic Harness
which i believe that you have already purchased =o)

Nice meeting you mate

Will have to get that new one then, it was incredible live -
Lunatic harness is arriving tomorrow which is nice.

Yea was cool meeting you though mate, might see you at the
next big event :).

Oh and one more thing - who was that DJ at the Rephlex room
for the last two hours, the one with the woman with glow
sticks at the front... anyone know?

He knew perfectly how to clear out a room; an incredible
first hour, then he starts playing odd Jazz DnB. Im at the
front, look behind me and the room is cleared. Not the best
set in the world.

And was it me, or was Aphex Twin wondering around?

And who was the guy I kept on meeting throughout the concert
who I talked to outside about Aphex Twin's car and other
stuff?

The guy playing in Ai room at the end was sheikh ahmed who
runs absorb.org. The guy wandering around who looks like afx
was tom the sound/mixing desk guy. I thought shitmat was
shit, went on too long - too much comedy.

Wicked night. I'd like to redo it though cos I kept chopping
and changing rooms and never really got into the groove cos
I wanted to know who was on.

Mike P was incredible.
Shitmat was excellent.
Remarc was awesome (though I felt a bit sorry for him
standing about during Shitmat's set and trying to get into
it).

To be honest, I'm glad Aphex didn't play cos it would have
just turned into an Aphex gig. Though I wish someone would
have told me so I could have stopped wasting my time in the
fucking Rephlex room. Was it me or was that room (aside from
The Bug and the lazer on the ceiling) rubbish?

Nice to meet you finally, GAz. Sorry I couldn't speak longer
and with more clarity. I was stoned off my nut.

Who was the guy with the guitar in the Ai room?

Apparently, listening to fast music shortens your life
expectancy because your heart tries to emulate the beat or
something. So we're all buggered then.

too much comedy
Aww! Mate! Lighten the fuck up!
