Amen Andrews vol 2 track 1 fucking rockz! The most
seriously gorgeous selection of notes I've heard for a long
time. Powerful, powerful stuff.

i love amen andrews. amen renegade is the standout track on
this release imo.

Vol3 is my favourite. thameslick and junglebunny are
excellent.

This is what I don't get the beats aren't exactly majorly
original but the quality of the trax is superb. Now that is
really all I care about that the quality is there. Sick of
all this pressure to innovate or whatever. Still I think
there is certainly a fresh take on amen breaks/jungle with
these releases.

Most of the Amen Andrews tracks are just remixes, and they
aren't any better or worse than the originals (well some are
actually worse)

yes, they are all jungle remixes of the amen break from
"amen brother" by the winstons ;)

using common old school jungle/rave samples is not
remixing.

name me one original song that he remixed on these eps.

The whole point of these is an affectionate look back to the
early Amen based jungle tunes....nothing ever droped like
that break (And it lends itself to great mashing &
cutting....)...

\\\\\\would it be sad to admit I've been known to listen to
a looped sample of Amen - it's just a fascinating Rhyhtm..

I love the Amen Andrews releases, I think maybe they just
sound similar to older stuff I have on vinyl, and obviously
building tracks around the Amen loop is going to lead to a
familiarity.

Babylon by Splash has been remixed quite a few times. The
Ray Keith mix was good and the DJ SS wasn't bad.

It's a quality drum break. You can take it apart and move
every part of it around and it still sounds great. It's
something about it that' just perfect. It just works on
every level.

You can change pitch, tempo, arrangement whatever and it
still sounds great.

Take that you Washington fat cats...

Nah the reason you haven't heard any of my Amen stuff is
because I only put my shit music on the internet.

The good stuff lies in a dormant, not quite finished state
on my computer. :P
