Dirqual's NOT APHEX

But he could be Aphex's Twin...his music is
unbeleivable...I am addicted to the wierd one with the long
name that is called ? in Tolerable Cruelty...which is
without a doubt the BEST IDM album of the year...and it was
free. I mean that seriously as well...nothing I have heard
comes close.

I guess I'm going to have to. He has does a good job for
sure. Certainly to amase so many tracks but for me they're
just lacking that extra zing. Not one track on his album
really blew me away from a musical perspective. All well
acomplished tracks but I felt some just sounded like they
need more build up and less smash you over the head with a
pan straight away type approach. Again well done to him for
managing to do so many tracks.

My man who does serious tunes on the board is old OD. Now he
is someone who I can listen to a large number of his tracks
over and over again.

dirqual and OD, yes. they're my favorites. i couldn't make
music like either of them for the life of me...and that
makes me a little sad. but that's okay. that's..er. what
they're for. right. to do it for me. see..yes. right.

i'm not really sure what you mean, but i like to make music
that i want to listen to, rather than trying to "develop I.
D. M" or something silly. if i was to show you my "original"
music you would hate it anyway, love! :)

This is probably the best album I´ve heard this year. (Fuck
"probably", this is the best record I've heard all year).
This is the first Dirqual stuff I've heard. Is there much
more out there -
in the same catagory as this?

I really like OD's stuff, but I agree there is an edge
missing from his stuff that I can't quite put my finger on.
I think it is what I have bored him stupid with in my
responses to his tracks that they are too happy sounding.
:P

He is still one of the top 5 people on the board though :D
