very good release , one of the best EP's . i specially like
beats , although melodies are nice too. nice step after
chiastic slide , if only every Ep could be so good....

as I have opened quite a few of these threads I didnt want
to start more in a few days... but man, it was about time
someone openned this.

huge!!!!!
beautiful ep, lots of quality, really coherent and solid
release... a must have for a music lover (of any genre)

i love this EP very much. it never fails to satisfy me no
matter how many times i listen to it...

..though i think Envane would be more enjoyable if the sound
wasn't somewhat disturbing... but it's probably because i'm
addicted to that refined sound of LP5.

apart from that, it's a beautiful release.

cichlisuite.

selling them on cd then they wouldn't be available elsewhere

let it be known that laughing quarter has from time-to-time
been my favorite song ever.

i like to blast goz quarter at parties.... etc..

envane is great. 4 fresh tracks, excellent cover. as usual
its an impressing, refreshing, challenging package by
autechre.

what is with these threads? they are way too frequent and do
not usually produce any good conversation. are they for the
artists to look at? are they for the record companies? is it
serving as some type of poll? is the information gathered
and stored somewhere?

to me they are way too frequent and don't seem to be that
useful. i do like to put in my 2 cents though. just some
thoughts.

i think they're a great idea, so you can pick specific
albums and find out people's comments on them, while random
surfers can just click to link to see what the xltronic
community thinks of those albums.

i think they're great

that choppy little melody in the beginning of goz quarter
just struck me. before I didn't really follow it or
something, but it's sounding fucking ace right now.

woohoo, I actually own this on cd... I need Cichlisuite now,
which I haven't even heard, and then I'll have the Chiastic
Slide period covered... which so far, I think is Autechre's
best music...

back in stock.
So I spent more money.

Æ should do more EPs. Amber, Tri Repetae and Chiastic Slide
all had two EPs, then LP5 and Draft have had one, and
Confield none...

envane is packed with autechre attitude :D im just curious
as to how the songs relate to each other. i know most of us
have read somewhere that the four quarters are the same song
played differently..

draun quarter spun at 33 rpm tops my all time great AE
moments list. damn near fifteen minutes of pure melancholy.

when i found out i had been listening to envane
"incorrectly" for at least a year that, in fact, autechre
wrote this tune to be played at 45, the first thought that
popped into my head was to tell AE that they're wrong.

I think it's pretty good. As I said elsewhere, I've been
listening to envane and drukqs more.. It's good overall but
the only track which I'm crazy about is iera. I need to
listen to it more before really passing judgement.

how about you?

I think it's great! I can see a definite progression from
confield to draft, but untilted isn't on that same path at
all - it seems completely different to those two, at least
that was what struck me on the first few listens, it was
quite surprising. I love pro radii, fermium is the only one
that I'm not hugely keen on, but otherwise - awesome.

There are plans of doing a Env-Aid edition of this EP next
year, so it might feed atleast one starving young african.

Until then it is still available in warpmart, but you
usually go for the bootlegs, don't you dear Matvey?
