5% with my POV to 20 threads.

Well I'm not against this community concept but can we
imagine some kind of color code OR why not a filter system
that could allow the people out of the community (like me)
to benefit from the often very good news, suggestions and
discussions about electronic music.

We could also just read the topic titles :P

5% is off topic or 5% is music?

I think phobiazero is sorting some ideas to solve that
problem

but overall I think he likes the compact way (no diferent
forums). and he is very minimalistic so I dont think he will
put any more colors.

I dont know if a filter is possible

maybe different sections of the forum, like one for music,
one for off topic etc. would help. i personaly dont mind at
all tho

i'd say a little flag at the left of each topic which the
creator can set if the thread is music related, would help.

mods should then have the ability to alter the status

orrrrr, people could just be more clear about the topic
name.

What about having a personal blacklist such that every post
made by the blacklisted people is transparent to the reader.
INDEED each list is private.

PROS: It helps educate the youg hooligans of the mb as they
wong be read anymore by the vast majority of the board as
soon as they start trolling.

CONS: it's a faschist concept / building clan and against
having equal access to expression

That won't help preventing the threads hi-jacking. Like
starting a poll about my new haircut and ending discussing
the awesome record recently released by Apparat on
shitkatpult (try this is ze very best of current IDM /
trust me).

if they rationed music it would suck

ratio and ration share the same etymology

i fail to see the logic in that.

but then again i may have been playing too much metal gear
solid. :)

If Cuntychuck agrees with you, you're usually talking shit.

I pretty much agree, it would be nice to have some more
music discussion, even though I already like the layout and
community. But rather than complain, do your part and start
a topic on an obscure album or a track you're digging. This
topic is going to do jack squat.

I regret but many interesting topics are born dead just
because the 'community' threads overflow.
I'm using the word 'community' here because I'm in a good
mood and also because I understand to what extend OT threads
can bring interesting discussions. What a lot of people here
are missing is the sense of moderation and that's what
you're here for :)

I also want a spell/grammar checker integrated to the mb.

What do you suggest I close on this first page, to turn this
messageboard into a magical haven for music connoisseurs?

i have mentioned the filter feature before... and
news/releases discussions are color coded.

yeah.... it's not really something you can deal with without
being a total Nazi about it - of course, if someone gets too
irritating, that's what moderators are for.

personally, the board's current state doesn't bother me. I,
myself, am trying to talk more of IDM, of course I have
fallen out of the loop as of late....
