Plaid - Double Figure

Figured I'd start the very first thread dedicated to Double
Figure ever on the board

anyways, WOOHOO, my first Plaid album... it's pretty nice
huh? Sounds similar to P-Brane in a way, which I guess makes
sense as they came out fairly close together... and I like
it, cause P-Brane just rules... I haven't fully digested it
yet, but my feeling now is that it's great... the beats and
stuff are cool, and a little strange, but not too strange...
weird enough to be interesting, but not TOO weird like
Autechres beats can be sometimes... and then the melodies
are really nice...

I'm sure I'll love this one to death after a few more
listens... sounds good so far!

I hope that first statement was sarcastic!

And it's a great album with hidden depths, I like a
different song best each time I hear it... although Assault
On Precinct Zero is schweeet :)

hehe yeah... I figured someone would mention something about
me using the search thing, so there's my sarcastic remark
about it up front! :)

I don't really know how to do those discussion threads... I
looked in the discog thing, but couldn't seem to find it...

ahhh, yeah I figured... I think I'm gonna put in my donation
sometime soon... but I've spent too much money in the last
little while, and I feel guilty! :)

it's NOT a premium member only thingy.

at least, it shouldn't...... there should be a "discuss this
release" link at the bottom on each release-page.

Sorry, Phob, it's really not there for me.

I had guessed it would be a premium member only feature
because the people who have created these discuss threads
are all premium members.

Us regular members are always neglected :*(
As if we don't have any feelings at all...

I can see it, but the record I wanted to do the thread on
isn't there! Phobs, any particular reason Parts In The Post
isn't in the Plaid discography? Or is it cause it's a remix
album... hmmm...

Apparently the winamp 5 beta I'm using somehow causes
tooltips to disappear whenever I enable song title scrolling
in the taskbar. :\

No idea wtf is up with that...

Still my favorite Plaid album, always was always will be. Go
after Not for Threes yet, and don't listen to the new age
haters that say Bytes hasn't aged well, it's the bee's
knees.

I downloaded Spokes and it lives up to P-Brain, which i
think is plaids best thing since Rest Proof Clockwork. I
can't wait until the album comes out. The mp3's sound sweet.
hahaha.

Double Figure is the best album from Plaid, I've ordered and
downloaded Spokes. I think Spokes is great, but it needs
more listening to get the most of it. Double Figure is much
more simpler. I'm not sure if Spokes can live up to Double
figure. My three orders of Plaid are waiting me at home.
Cant wait to get my hands on Dial P

I've heard Spokes and Double Figure, and DF is my favorite
of the two. Absoultely fantastic. And I can actually play
this with my friends around and not get a bunch of confused
and offended looks :)

it's neat but not exactly the type of music i love. i've
probably listened to the whole album just twice but
sometimes feel like i need some particular track to get in a
particular mood. it's quite emotional. eyen is what i need
most often. it's plain beautiful. other tracks... hm... they
don't hook me up as much.
