i just watched nightmare on elm street pt. 4....the movie is utter shite,
but that's not my point. have a close look, and tell me if
these captures from the same movie looks familiar:

Looks sorta similar, but can't really connect them without
seeing it in motion. Are you sure you're not stoned? :D

he's also sampled one of the strings (pitch-bended) sounds
from this scene in elsm street, and put it in the place
where the old lady in "come to daddy" goes up to the dog.

coincidence? i don't think so. :P

the phrase "come to daddy" isnt original by any means
anyway,
so i read in a review on the latest nightmare (and
halloween) that freddy is suppost to symbolize the parents
authority (or just the daddy), like these teenagers
recognise this tiranic, sadistic prick he is. that'd be
obvious to anyone the article said, i hadnt really had the
idea of thinking anything about the movie besides freddy
being cool maybe

Just to be clear, we are talking about the scene in CTD when
the dog urinates on the television while the scared granny
looks on, right?

but if it is the same, than richard is saying he got the
come to daddy-phrase from nightmare on elmstreet, maybe he
likes those movies being a lucid-dreamer and all, and not
from, i dont know, boogie-nights

CTD video was a rip off of Videodrome. Cunningham said so
himself... he didn't realise till afterwards (Videodrome was
one of his favs as a kids and he didn't realise how much it
had influenced him)
