Warp Monster party-what to expect?

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2003-10-10 00:21 [#00896710]

I just ordered tickets for me and my friends to go to this
(they *still* haven't sold out yet, wich I find a little
strange)

Anyway, what should we expect? Is it us sitting down and
watching visuals+music, or a full on raving party or what?

Thanks.

Well last year there were about 3 rooms. Each had different
styles going on. It sold out quite late then as well. A damn
good atmosphere too. There's a few of us going from the
board so if you want to meet up let us know :)

Expect lots of monsters partying

But seriously, i reckon there will be quite a big and mixed
crowd. Luke Vibert will be playing his newer Acid stuff i
reckon. I think Aphex will be playing a longer set than the
Rephlex one, as he is one of the highest acts in the roster
and the Warp 'gig' actually lasts longer than the Rephlex
gig.

Also expect lots of strange little films at the end of it.

Also expect two rowdy drunk lads and one embarresed looking
Murray trying to talk to Aphex Twin

There'll probably be plenty of space to sit down as well as
dance. I expect you'll see some tranqued up characters
sitting immobile for the whole thing and absolute loons
dancing like it's a gabber night to absolutely everything
played, even if it's ambient :)

Also, expect the Watmm lot to not meet up with us, despite
agreeing to in advance. :P

Murray- Vibert never plays live, he only DJs, so I would be
suprised if he played mainly his own stuff...

Do we have to get into a fight every time we go out?
:P

Last time about three of them agreed to meet up and then
just didn't reply to my emails, I may be thinking of ATP
though... I met up with some of the folks from the
Llamasofties forum and they were all sound chaps.

You're fucking right I am. Drinking on the train and scaring
other passengers is a favourite hobby of mine :D

I'll probably bomb two grammes of speed before I go in since
I'm going to be awake all day Friday, all night and then
most of the day Saturday. I'll just guzzle water in the gig
:)

you can aways flash a "afx logo" gang sign...make one hand
flash an unside dwn "peace" *extend the fore and middle
fingers (for all those who don't know what peace is)*, and
the other hand and make the horizantal line finishing the
afx logo.

I dunno about meeting up before hand. I will be more
concentrated on trying to get in and get a drink.

However, i would love to meet up with the Xltronic peeps, i
shall have to ditch my two mates for a while but it will be
worth it.

I suggest that before it starts, that the people who are
going dressed up say so on this thread, then i will know who
to tap on the shoulder.

This evening should be proper bo i tell thee.

Ceri - It says on the Flyer Luke Vibert - Live. So i'm going
by that.
