piclink(500, "right"); HOME BUILT ANALOGUE SYSTEMS :: All systems where constructed by Tim Adams, which include an analogue-modular system (3-oscillator, 3-filter system, much like a moog system 55); Then two monophonic analogue synths that were all completely custom built from scratch. He also constructed a home built frequency shifter based on the early BODE analogue frequency shifter design. We are currently rebuilding my Chaos synth that is a small touch (heat-sensitive synthesizer) that has two oscillators and a Kimchee module for voltage controlled distortion.

I'm not a fan of alea mapper, but Lipswitch is okay. My main criticism is that his stuff is too barebone- nothing wrong with minimalism when it's done right, but this isn't to my taste.

I wouldn't call him minimalist...more the oppoiste, maximalist....
His stuio stuff cost around $80000 ....all money saved by living with his parent etc...so don't be hard on him, kids...
And yeah, His CTD was supurb.....
Maybe he mean't a g4 TiBook...(the titantium one...)...I dunno i'm no MAC head...but those 17" new ones have turned my eye...after 20yrs of PCs, maybe it's worth change...

hes a minimalist... in that his music is very bare boned. Its mainlt DSP and percussive sounds... not much in the realm of melody and harmony, and stuff like that.
But as far as the DSP goes, hes a maximalist

i have lip switch, but got bored of it fairly quick and i could never really get into aleamapper. his earlier stuff is quit good though, more melodic than chaotic.
the track on the lily of the valley comp. is brilliant, especially around the 5:30 mark when some of the most beautiful pads i've ever heard rise out of the mess and just completely bring me to tears. glorious fucking track.
