if you burn an original cd, is the cdr the same quality? or
it loses quality?

do cdrs last less than originals?

the cheap ones last less, this was in the news some weeks
ago.

The quality depends on the way how you burn them.

now i wonder too

I stuck a Samsung CD-R that I burned about four years ago
into my computer last night and it refused to read it at
all. Very annoying.

you can always burn a new one if one gets worn out :)

Difficult to say. I have unbranded ones that are still
working after five years and branded (Samsung) ones that
aren't.

hehe... as long as I don't do a lot of alcohol (several days
in a row), it works the way I want it to :)
If I do a lot of alcohol my memory (what happened thoose
days) gets fuzzy.

Also, when sleeping enough (you know what's enough for you)
you become more aware/concious of everything you do <-- and
for me it has improved my shorttermmemory; like what I am
doing right now, where did I put that thing, etc.

I guess it's the same for most people (atleast drinking too
much makes the memory fuzzy, and sleeping enough makes you
more aware of the present :)

Just get good quality ones burn them at a slow speed

good ones in my experience:
TDK, Sony, Octron

Bad ones:
Traxdata, MMore, Arita, Nashua and those no-brand ones

I've also heard that if they're made in Japan they usually
are of higher quality

I use memorex; i rely on them for critical data backup of
all my computer based artwork. I hope they last 'cause i
have no other way to back stuff up, and i sure as hell cant
print it all :-/

I don't trust sony cd readers, so i wouldn't trust their
cd-rs either.

and my samsung dvd player on my old computer stopped working
after a couple months, so both those companies have a bad
repoire with moi
