I now have 1gig of ram! not a huge amount of processing
power but it's ok. but 1gig of ram upgraded from 256.

now I get to find out if this will solve my freeze problem
when multitasking during live performances.

fast... I was under the impression that ram wasn't
necessarily speed but rather amount of things you can
process at once. someone described it to me as desk size.
big desk little desk you can keep more stuff on top of a big
desk.

I'm retarded though. I just know that more ram helps when
multitasking.

i'm getting the new 15" powerbook soon which will have 512
ram, should be more than enough though 1gig would be nice :)
Though 1gig ram is very expensive at the moment.

been running 1 gig of ram for a while...pretty nice, pretty
nice indeed. I cna't, however, take my PC on any dj sets
with me.

i will be upgrading my comany's network soon. talking major
re-haul.

Yep, moving pcs is a devil. I have a massive tower and a 22"
monitor, so it's out of the question really. I was fortunate
enough to be able to use a Vaio last time I played out and
it got me seriously thinking about getting a laptop just for
live stuff.

Oh, you're such a size queen Ceri, with your 22" monitor and
big tower.
