2704 valid member accounts
3375 ever started accounts

so:
671 accounts were closed (trolling), were not correctly
registered or symplu did not finish registration.
knowing *skyf...* i bet that most of those 671 were closed
accounts.

795 have never posted in the MB

out of the 1909 members that have posted:

203 posted just 1 time.

I wonder what happened here.... so you open an account,
registering and all that, then you visit the MB, you see all
the traffic, threads, posts and all the fun and interesting
threads (also the shitty ones) and after all you just post
once??? I cant believe that.... but it happens.

I think most people just sign up to ask a question and have
no intentions of staying here for long at all..

Then something happend in their topic, like an argument or
insult and they stay to fight or watch the drama unfold..
then they are hooked. I do not think most members joined so
they could be a part of an IDM internet community.

..except for maybe Oddioblender, who has issues.

750 posted 1-10 times

so, out of 3375 ever started accounts, "only" 1159 members
have posted more than 10 times.

but can one be considered a regular having posted 10 times??
I think not in this MB

I would consider a regular from 100 posts and on (it is true
that posting more than 10 times shows certain relationship
with the board, but in this board thats just too few) so how
many of us have posted more than 100 times?

583

in fact 583 of us have posted more than 100 times.
583 out of 2704 existing accounts.

excellent stats nacmat. accounts that start and never reach
more than 1 post within a couple months should be deleted.
why would you even need an account if your never gonna talk.
i get nervous everytime i notice the members stat has a
raised. it makes me think this place is gonna fall all to
hell. some assure me this won't happen.....

857821 total posts ever made in this MB (I am not sure if it
is counting previous versions or not)

102707 posts out of the total 857821 were made by 9 people
(the top 9 posters right now)

so 12% of the posts ever made was made by 0.33% of the
members of this MB

hahaha yeah im beginning to notice more threads criticizing
idm rather than embracing it. nobody appreciates anymore.
i even admit to using a squarepusher cd as a coster for my
drinks.......okay not really. i did consider it once, but
then i just grabbed my keoki cd instead.

so important numbers:

total members: 2704
never posted: 795
posted more than 100 times: 583
posted more than 1000 times: 196

average participation on polls : about 200 votes
(very near to those 196 who posted more than 1000)

so we can consider that we have a very fast moving community
that handles with about 200 regulars each day

though this 200 regulars are constantly changing

i can never decide if i really like keoki. i have ego trip
and a burned cd with lots of stuff on it. its good techno,
but nothing that makes my eyes widen. i haven't heard the
new keoki, though. i do think him and dj irene should make
out.

if you make some posts in a topic that gets colsed then do
you lose those points?

no.
not even if your post is deleted.

losing points can only happen by punishment or if you ask
for your account to be deleted I think

points on the other hand are not important, but they give us
a numeric view of some attitudes in the MB, and they give us
nice stats

if 795 have never posted and 750 posted just 1 time

1545 members made 750 posts which means that:

57% of the members have made alltogether 0.08% of total
posts

while 0,33% of the members made 12% of the posts.

1545 members------- 750 posts
9 members------- 102707 posts
