I'd have to say II. But i personally think the tree raping
scene is worse is vorse in I, because you see penetration!
in II the girl is just dragged away.... anyway, i was
annoyed in evil dead I, because the hottest girl was the
first one to become a demon!!! III is straight out comedy in
my eyes. Nothing wrong with it, i liked it, but II is still
the best.

Evid Dead II by Far! Army of Darkness has some funny lines
but the watching someone go slowly mad, right in front of
your eyes is a tremendos experience in II

love them all for their own reasons, the first one is great
i think, and once ash became the start and added a little
comedy it was all over, i love that too so i would have
trouble pickin which one.
been tryin to get hold of the playstation 2 evil dead game
for a bit now, anyone played it?

II for me every time, I was ok, and III was more a
swashbuckler than a horror.
anyone got news on 4 yet? im not sure if i like the sound
of it being made or not. as long as bruce is in it i will
see it though :)

Highly unlikely it'll be made. He lives on in the games (of
which the PS2 one is very cool)

These are my favourite films of all time. I'm so sad as to
have Evil Dead I three times on DVD. An uncut release, a
special edition in the Book of Dead and in a boxset recently
released. I have the 2nd once twice and the third one twice.
I'm so sad. The films are all great. The official word is NO
! on a 4th one. They've all said they'd like to but it's not
going to happen. Subject to change probably.

The 2nd one is best.

well im pretty relieved about that. they dont need to spoil
them now. like terminator. i want the box set for the extra
disc, but i already have all three seperate. is it worth it
giginger?

I can't answer that honestly as:

1) I'm a sad geek completist and the main reason was the
extra disc

2) I haven't even opened the box yet. It's still in it's
cellophane!

I have the Book of the Dead version of ED1 and the special
editions of the other two... and of course, my other half
decided to get the box set. For like, no reason, aside from
the one disc of extras. Which we haven't watched.

I like 3 the best. But 2 is the better film.

Did you Book of the Dead smell really nice when you got it?
I hope it doesn't rot over the years. That'd be really bad
:(

It's a bit funny smelling if I remember rightly, but I think
it'll be ok :) Otherwise just plonk some cheese behind the
radiator to cover it up!

nearly knocked me out when I first opened it.It was
overpowering.Latex does not smell good I can tell you.My
brother made enough monster masks and cast my mates faces
enough for me to know!Urk.The films,1st is my favourite, the
other 2 are extremely amazing.

Still can't get used to seeing Braindead with a different
title... anyway, it's good as fuck, possibly Jackson's best
(I'd take it over Bad Taste without a doubt) but Evil Dead
is superior imo.

Is that the one by Peter Jackson that's called Braindead
over here or the one by the other director who's name I've
forgotten?

I would agree.

I like 3 best just to watch - it makes me laugh the most -
the whole "Klaatu verana nffjhfj"-thing..

but 2 is best visually - some great shots in there.

YO SHE-BITCH!! LET'S GO!!

"Bubba Ho-tep tells the “true” story of what really did
become of Elvis. We find the King(Bruce Campbell) as an
elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched
identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his
“death”, then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis
teams up with Jack(Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home
resident who thinks that he is actually President John F.
Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth
to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their
long-term care facility
as his happy hunting grounds…"

hahaha! that sounds pretty funny
