The golden maid revealed before the throng, her virgin flesh exposed and moist, so bare; converses sweetly with the drove in song, as moving slowly to the brook they fare. Once by the water'd bank, they praise their maid with garlands chaste, and stalks of ochre corn; thus praised and so adored, the girl cascades in to the water, drowned to be reborn.
