yeah i quit today. this ummmmmmmm thread will be my personal dramatic story of how it all turns out. like a bad tv-show but on the internet. wish me luck! day one: went to this restaurant with my mate john, decided to quit, lit my last one in hopefully a very long time. oh yeah dont forget, this is going to bore the fuck out of most people here, but its therapy for me :) |

i have emphesyma i think. i wont quit, when its your time, its your time... ma told me never to quit, but all the power to you, i tried a while back... only to find myself falling back into the void of smoke 3 days later. its become a sort of coping mechanism for me. i know, i'm going about it all wrong... meh, just let me be and find out for myself :p |

I have never understood the logic in that. might as well stick a knife in your head and say "oh well, when it's your time, it's your time". it's pushing away your idea of responsibility - you are destroying your own health - that isn't fate, or whatever you want to call it, it's you. |

That Carr method is incredible. I didn't know about it - I quit cold turkey - but a friend of mine who chainsmoked for years and years read it, kinda smacked himself in the head and said "it's obvious!" I was skeptical but he hasn't started again for more than a year. And this was a guy who used to smell like a mass grave filled with cigarette butts. BTW, the cravings really do go away after a while. You'll be surprised. |

the idea of some of these people saying that they want to now start smoking at their age is ridiculous. it seems like it used to be the "cool" thing to do, but few people did it.. now that there's such a backlash against it, it's like people are rebelling against the rebelling.. if you like the smell or taste of tobacco, just roll your own.. if you don't like that.. maybe it's all the other miscellaneous crud in them that you really like the taste of.. i suggest smoking random pieces of plastic instead. |

this morning at 7:00 I'd forgotten my smokes when I left home for work, I checked in at work and sneaked out to buy some; I risked losing my job just for a smoke, I'm such an addict; i quess i'm never gonna quit. |

I'd like to feel 60 at 60 not 60 at 30 thanks, smoking for stupid people who won't admit they got it wrong. you know you can make muffins and biscuits out of cannabis. that might help. |
