This program is on BBC2 tonight at 9pm. I'm really curious
but eerrghh.... I dunno if I can watch it. I saw the advert
for it and nearly freaked out, and I just went to the BBC
website and freaked out again. Here's some info
here, as well as the pic that made me scream.

It was fucking scary. I switched over and there she was, I
think I actually squealed. It's fucking horrible, but she
seems pretty defiant. I don't fancy seeing pics of her as a
baby and shit... imagine the life she's had

Pfft. I thought this would be about those peculiarly
British youths who get pissed on alcopops and go picking
fights with pensioners who have the temerity to glance at
them.

That woman with the big jaw was in Eastenders, wasn't she?
Not that I watch that sort of thing; I'm just making a joke
about a notoriously ugly girl that was on the show, see.

thanks for the tip, yavo -- reckon I'll watch this, as long
as it doesn't become boring and sympathetic

I'm sorry. I should take that back really.

No don't! It's the jokes that help her cum through it.

So presumably the old maxim about what's on the inside being
what counts no longer applies?

I mean, look at me, I'm just a cartoon character, but I have
feelings too...!

I'll be watching this, I'm always curious about unusual
people in this world, and what their attitudes are to it.
She looks unusual for about 30 seconds, and you'd look twice
the first time you saw her, but she's really not terribly
ugly to be honest. Not like that Beyonce whatserface is
ugly, what a minger, can't stand her

You lot are being a bit cruel, even if you are being honest.
I tend to sympathise with her more, since I can understand
what she's had to deal with.

I'm giggling like a child over that. I hope they use that on
the soundtrack.

I agree with your "after 30 seconds" comment. Once you know
someone you stop really thinking about how they look. One of
my mates had premature baldness from his mid teens and
people (strangers) used to stare at his clearly thinning
hair. I never really noticed it once I knew him.

Well being ginger you get stared at a lot. I'm sure I've had
more abuse than some disabled people. I don't get it as much
now but when I was younger I distinctly remember a big thing
being made of ginger hair. I've turned out alright.

ginger hair sucks!
