Can't stand the heat?!

Nice to see that on possibly the hottest day in the history
of the UK... the chiller for the Air Con in the office
doesn't function.

My building is like a fucking green-house but now its a
fucking greenhouse being pumped full of hot air where the
Air Con motor is running!

Anyone else hot and give me some tips on cooling down
without taking all my clothes off?

It's gash. I've been sleeping in my boxers with no sheets on
and the bedroom windows and door wide open and I'm still too
hot to sleep comfortably.

I prefer Winter. Hmph!

Down tools and walk out. You can legally refuse to work in
such conditions.

would be asking a little much tho)

He's damn right. Although there is a ruling that the
hotter/more uncomfortable the conditions the longer your
breaks are and more often.

chri5py: mention functional suitablity to them. Tell them
that you don't think the office is fit for the purpose that
it's being used for and that they should do a functional
suitablity for it. That'll get them to fix shit straight off
:D

I've heard or read somewhere that you can drink somthing
warm to cool down...

It sounds illogical but when you drink something warm your
stomache supposedly sends signals to the body termostat that
you need to cool down. So... Drinking cold water turns your
internal heater up, drinking some mint tea turns your
internal heater off.

Those bastarrds, but at least it is a bit betterr than the
heat Imean you can always put a top on orr something, you
can only take so much off when it's hot.

It's not that hot today, I even wore my coat when I walked
to town and back. Granted, I was the only one wearing a coat
and garnered many stares, but that's not unusual in itself.

I always get looked at forr having a coat on deep into
summerr but the second it comes off it stays off then I get
looked at forr wearring only T-Shirrts deep into winterr.

I can?t stand hot weather either. But here in sweden it?s
only "hot and sunny everyday" (Bill Hicks) a few weeks in
the summer , so let the sunlovers have their fun. I?m more
than pleased all others seasons in this country.

"hot & sunny everyday,
hot & sunny everyday,
hot & sunny everyday,

... and they LOVE it!?!?!?!

- are you a fucking lizard?!?"

(Bill Hicks on LA-people, he calls it "Hell A", who thinks
hanging out by the pool is the greatest thing in life)
