Yes, I'm spamming again. This time I've gone and done a
cover of I feel Love by Donna Summer.

Link-me-do

Please have a listen and let me know what you think.

It's not bad. It's quite cute in it's own little way. Maybe
a little pedestrian, and rather repetitive, but the original
is too. I'd like to see it kick off. After about two minutes
you get the jist of things, you need to go somewhere with it
cause it's just looping. I want it to go hardcore. There's a
surprise eh? Maybe bring it down even more subtle for the
beginning, work it up a little after a minute or two to
where it is now, then go for broke after that. Get some
distortion in there man, it's too nice! Mix up some beats
too, get it more interesting. I see possibilities here.
Don't let me down bitch.

Please listen and tell me what you think. I've had some good
comments already and I've taken note of what they've said
but I still need more.

Thank you.

Am I allowed to be abrasively harsh? (I haven't heard it
yet)

It was aight, little too repetetive as Jar said, but it did
the trick. I'd personally have added much more variation
percussion wise, but maybe this is how you wanted it to turn
out?

Not bad my friend, not bad!

Oh, and I even felt a little love.

OK, i'm going to have a fiddle with it in the near future.
See if I can create some more variation. The main thing
point seems to be that it's repetitive. Reptition is good
but not when it's a point that people don't like.

I wasn't really aiming for anything when I thought about
doing it which is one of the reasons that I want peoples
opinions. I'm still on a learning curve with creating my own
music (I know it's a cover but bear with me) so doing a
cover seemed a good way to start.

Thanks for listening and for the thoughts.

I'm going to apologise then. I'm not a great big almanac of
musical knowledge though. I'll check out his stuff later.

moroder is essential.. he is definitive disco and
responsible for some huge hits in the '70s and '80s as well
as scores to movies you've surely seen

In that case I'm very surprised that I haven't heard of him.
I do try to look into the background of the music I like. I
adore the Donna Summer version which is why I thought it'd
be a good song to do. I'll do a google search on the bloke
and find out more.

*I though bill_hicks was mucking around*

Along with hits like "Hot Stuff" and "She Works Hard for
the Money," The Journey: The Very Best of Donna Summer will
feature two new songs from the disco diva and her longtime
collaborator, producer Giorgio Moroder. The collection is
due September 30.
