this album is beautiful. between this and arovane's tides,
who needs drugs as muscle relaxants?

i like Rock Action.
it was/is my only exposure to Mogwai as of yet. I even paid
for it before downloading it so i am glad it turned out to
be good.

happy music for happy people is the latest. rock action is
the one before. I recommend you aquire it. :->

i think happy songs is the best album as a whole that mogwai
have produced. beautifully restrained.
rock action is lovely, especially you don't know jesus, and
CODY definately has its moments.

explosions in the sky also very good, but shouldn't be
viewed as a mogwai substitute. slightly different kettle of
fish id say (?)

BARDO POND: FUCKING AMAZING!!

is the happy album with the singing: they say thats crap
themselves. got some catching up to do, stuff like 'may
nothing but happiness come through your door' is beautiful:
expresses exactly that

yeah totally! BA came a close second though... with that big
meaty black van and all that gold round his neck.

happy songs has a bit of singing on it. 'boring machines
disturbs sleep' has some vocals where the words are barely
audible. i like it though, it's laptop-ish.
a couple of others have some vocoded singing on which
definately adds rather than subtracts from the sound.

was lucky enough to see em in may: bloody good show (and
fucking loud!)

well that's that album then.
saw them for a second time in a long while last year,
thought the loud act pretty lame this time, loud yes but
they ended with sealing of the stage with 'police do not
cross' line: how childish. i like that extreem noise though
above which you still hear melodies, especially with
earplugs ;)

yes, i just pulled this album out again a few days ago, i
think its amongst my top 10 albums ever.
whoever said the newest one 'happy songs for happy people'
is crap is lying, i think its the best album to come out
this summer and is just as good as rock action, methinks

has anyone heard the band mono?
theyre pretty much a japanese mogwai...
a more blatant rip off than explosions in the sky,
basically..

their new cd is ok.. though after the first listen i felt as
though i had wasted my $11 on another copy of young team.
