Try to move to tea...I was addicted to coffee...the worst it
did to me was increse my acidity...but I hear that it is
both good and bad. Why take a risk with this body..? I got
just one...so I decided I needed a change.

P.S. To help me with my headaches, my doc prescribed a small
caffeine supplement while I weaned out of coffee into tea.
See if you can do something of that sort.

Pour shame all over us
Harden into a crust
---cement---
Forget the glamour and
Mumble a jackhammer
---under your breath---

Hide your face in the curtains
Better unsaid so close
And it rolls off the tongue
ALMOST

The world expects a pose
Perfectly natural
---loosen up---
Smearing wet concrete and
Swearing you'll never be
---caught---

At your weakest, etched in stone
And we're frozen here, peeking

ALMOST, sweet talk, CAFFEINE

Make contact
Up to my neck
I confess in quicksand

"But it's so easy for you"
"Yeah, there's always one thing"
"Do you have something to tell me?"
"Say something"
"Anything"

I'm warning you
I'm warning you
I'm fucking you
I'm warning you

"Relax"
"It's just a phase"
"You'll grow out of it"

Believe anything anyone ever tells you

It's not funny anymore
It's the thing you hate the most
The thing you hate the most
The thing you hate ALMOST

I live cement
I hate this street
Give dirt to me
I bite lament
This human form
Where I was born
I now repent

Caribou

Repent
Repent

Give me white
Ground to run
And foregone
Lets me knife
Knife me lets
I will get
What I like

Caribou

Repent
Repent

I once read an entire book about caffeine once, out of
boredom,

can't remember a thing though, lot of good that did.

I do remember....

caffeine IS bad
it does have withdrawl symptoms
over 4 cups of coffee a day is needed to get addicted

i dont see why people have to whine about it, i mean not
this post but: not drinking coffee in the evening because
they're afraid not to be able to sleep. bragging about how
much coffee they drink and how addicted they are.
getting a headache from not drinking it sucks though

Switch to green tea. The health benefits are incredible.
It has a constituent called L-Theanine which acts as a nerve
tranqulizer. While too much coffee can cause you to
dismember people, more green tea means less anxiety and
agitation. L-Theanine increases the amount of GABA produced
by your body which inhibits signal overload in your nerve
cells.

It's full of polyphenols and flavanoids that help fight
cancer, strengthen your immune system and protect against
heart disease.

I've been drinking green tea for over 2 years now. I had a
brief stint of coffee drinking a couple of months back, and
it turned me into a hyper-agressive maniac. I almost
started smoking cigarettes as a result.

Small amounts of caffeine are OK. Amounts exceeding 200mg
per day are pushing towards negative consequences (about 2
cups of coffee). Most importantly, high amounts of caffeine
increase tissue breakdown (including muscle), and can
exhaust your body's own stress-fighting mechanisms with
chronic use. These factors alone can increase your risk of
various kinds of disease.

Caffeine is actually a very common constituent of many
plants. I would say the source of caffeine and its
interaction with other constituents in the plant would
affect one more so than the caffeine itself.

i work in a great coffee shop which has the most flavoursome
blend ever, i got to be guzzling free coffee 4 or 5 a day
and began to wonder why my head did shake of an afternoon.
Now i'm down to two per day, well enjoyed, savoured but not
enough for me to miss it or obsess on it. Coffee is also a
diaherretic, as i discovered one ill fated morn. . .

hahaha. just a little catachresis for you. he meant
diuretic not diarrhetic. Diuretic meaning: makes you
pee.
Not: Excessive and frequent evacuation of watery
feces

That avatar isn't very subtle...

I was a fiend for it for a while, used to mix up a large
strong bodum thing every day and drink the lot but I got to
the stage where like AP I got a headache when I didn't have
it, so I stopped.

It's got about half the caff of coffee, but about 10
teaspoons of sugar (50g). If you're on the low-carb diet,
don't expect to see any results.
It'll rot your teeth, and leech calcium from your bone
matrix to buffer the acidity. You're lucky you're male,
otherwise I would count on osteoporsis in your later years.
