oh.. i saw somebody using something from sonic foundry (they
make sound forge)... forget the name of it, but it looked
easy & had loads of features...

vegas or something? can't remember.

I use Vegas and it is very easy to use. But not exactly
cheap.

Then again, who actually buys these things?

hmph.. not me thats for damn sure.

lets say i end up compiling an hour long project.. is
something like this going to be brutal on my systems
resources?

When Vegas is rendering I can always do other stuff at the
same time and the little green task-manager light in my sys
tray doesn't shoot right up, but my pc is 2.4Ghz so a lesser
machine might not cope so well. Who knows! Try it and see!
