pomme

You must must must try Synth1

The default soundbank is kinda dull - to really see what it
can do, download some extra banks here - some of
those patches put the LFO section to good use. The LFO on
Synth1 is maaaaahvelous.

One of the soundbanks has a pretty credible R2D2 patch.

awesome track with just one knob?

This must be the heaven of VST instruments. Click on
instruments link in the left side and choose. Lots of free
stuff and good links.

Crystal is nice, but you don't wanna use more than one
instance in a song. It's a real CPU monster.

There are a lot of good free synth plugins and almost all of
them eat mad CPU. Most of the development cost of the
commercial ones is probably in optimization.

[Synth1 is an exception to that rule, being terribly
efficient]

On the subject anyone know of any decent vst effects that
you can record real time changes like midi?

I think most of the VST's recieve midi data, and surely you
can draw controllers on every parameter, but i'm not sure
you can use all of them real-time because not all VST's are
sending midi...

i tried to force myself to burp and it almost made me sick.

i'll take your word that it would've been cool though.
