Anyone into it?

I bought Atmosphere's "God Loves Ugly" a while back and
recently rediscovered it. I forgot how beautiful it is,
it's truely great lyrically and rhythmically.

I'm also quite into Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and Unkown
Prophets. I used to visit Emceebattles.com and watch this
guy by the name of Eyedea just rip shitty rappers apart with
such lines like "MC's like you shouldn't even start
shit/i'll buy you a new outfit but i won't go to Target"
(that's not word for word mind you). I found out this
Eyedea has an album and i'm downloading it, so far it's
great.

I respect indie-rap because it's original and usually
lyrically superior than the newest Bently blingin'
phenomenon on TRL.

underground hip-hop is definitely great. The Living Legends
(the Grouch, Murs, 3MG, etc.) are great. The stuff on the
radio's shite.

indie hip-hop! i lurrrrrve it!!!

there's a hell of a lot of good stuff coming from my end of
the pond (ie. Canada): Buck 65, Sixtoo, the whole of the
Peanuts & Corn crew

Atmosphere are practically underground legends. 'Overcast'
from 1997 is a classic! 'The Lucy Ford EPs' is a must buy
also.

anything on Def Jux is a must (yes, yes. Cannibal Ox, El-P,
etc. but please, homies, let's not forget Aesop Rock!)

and it would be a crime not to mention Kool Keith!

if you wanna get into more good stuff along these lines, i
highly recommend going to the following site:

hiphopinfinity.com

and checking out their reviews section.

oh yeah! and the Anticon crew too! (Sole, Doseone, Alias,
Restiform Bodies, cLOUDDEAD, etc.)

btw, Eyedea releases stuff through Rhymesayers
Entertainment, which is run by Slug of Atmosphere.

good compilations to get a hold of if you don't have them
already:

Anticon Presents: Music For The Advancement of Hiphop
(tracks by all the indie hip-hop heavyweights: Buck 65,
Sixtoo, Eyedea, Slug, Sole, Alias, etc.)

Anticon: Gigasingle (same sort of superb content as the one
above)

both volumes of Def Jux presents.

i like atmosphere

but it's like emo-rap

el-p's flow as much as his production. at all. you guys
should check out mf doom

mf doom is real good.

el-p's flow is an aquired taste. i go through stages where
i can't get enough of fan dam. but, his production
is tight as hell.

aceyalone is pretty good too... kinda wears thin pretty
quick though.

i've only heard a few things by motion man, but, what i've
heard i have really liked. i'd check him out if i wasn't a
poor sumbitch right now.

fuck hiphopinfinity.com

everytime i order stuff there it comes cracked and broken,
takes too long and their prices are higher then others.

the bestest place is ugsmag.com . I always get stuff within
2 days, never cracked and they always add nice stickers...

I'm into this kind of stuff as well. grouch / etc

Just started getting into Murs stuff...

yeah i agree with all you guys, any hip hop (or "rap") is
great as long as it's done by a white people.

huh?

"any hip hop (or "rap") is
great as long as it's done by a white people."

being sarcastic, or just blatantly flat-out racist there,
pomme?
