from WATMM:

"This is an extremely rare video of Ageispolis, from
Selected Ambient Works 85-92. While not officially endorsed
by WARP/Richard, it appears on Longform's "Future Shock"
video compilation. This was also issued in the US on Parade
Video, and comes with prismatic "cyberspace glasses" to
watch the videos with."

i know this' prolly been asked a mrzillionaire times on
here, and i'm too busy to use the search feathre, so i won't
start a new thread... but, what's the deal with melodies
from mars?

i mean, it's unofficial right? are we even 100% sure rdj
did it? being that it's not formally released, does anyone
"own" the rights to it? could it be used in a movie or
something and just claim it's in the public domain?

great idea, epohs!!!

well i am pretty sure it is rdj because some of it is a
pre-version of songs on rdj-album.

ab5 should be not copyrighted aswell then...

btw does somebody who want to get somehting have copyrighted
has to prove it is by him?
otherwise i could release those 2 albums and get some money

melodies from mars was going to be what became the RDJ
album.. He ended up going with something more complex.. post
HAB2 stuff... and only kept 2 of the tracks of mfm.

The "original" copy of Melodies From Mars was recorded onto
casette tape from DAT and has "melodies from mars" written
in RDJs handwriting on the cassette.

looks like he beat you to the copyright moitie =)

plus!, i'm suing rdj for stealing some of the
groundbreaking concepts i came up with in my critically
aclaimed, but, relatively unknown album melodies from
mars
and using them in his subsequent richard d.
james album
