Blurring of Trees - OMFG

This album was worth buying for the artwork and track2
alone!

Seriously check this album out people. Great beats +
melodies a la afx, ae, vsnares, and gridlock: but
lexaunculpt
manages to keep his own style throughout. Anyways it rocks
and if you dont think so, then I'm so glad I'm not you.

squuuuuuuuuarrreeeeeeepusher. it's his early spymania work,
compiled. includes the brilliant "conumber" which helped
shape the genre.

i thought i heard a little richard devine influence in the
sound samples at the planet µ site. i'd probably buy the
album, but am unemployed currently so i'm not buying a lot
of music.

from what I've heard, it's amazingly good. It's on my list
of "to buy" albums.
There's an audio (mp3) interview on the web somewhere of
Lexaunculpt (alex) talking in detail about this album, his
sound writing and record techniques, etc.
If I find the link, I'll post it.
You guys should search for it too. Really really cool. It's
like an hour or so interview.

blurring of trees by lexaunculpt
not bad
all the tracks sound a bit similar, which can eb a problem
and track 2 "has been trying not to wonder' optr something
is indeed the best one, but suffers from "different track"
trauma.
ie it just changed songs completely liek it's a mishmash of
a few different songs.

all of a sudden the melody, chords, tempo etc and drums all
change at the same time

still worth a listen tho

Got a few nice bits here and there. Can't say I've listened
to it more than 4 times, though. Nothing special, really.

You are all missing out on "plus and minus miss c bug" by
lexaunculpt. This track is very brilliant. I got it on
soulseek.

lexaunculpt is a nasty producer and programmer, haven't
heard the LP yet but definitely looking forward to it. If
you like this you should check his previous releases on
Isophlux and Orange.

wow i cant believe this album is still getting raved
about.....here are my two cents again: fairly
disappointing. it started out with the sound of a tuning
orchestra...i felt it was pretty cheesy. the next two tracks
were decent, but then it progressed (this may be out of
order) into richard devine's signature style. except that
richard devine really does it better himself. somewhere in
the mix was a long, drawn out stringy piece that was pretty
weak melody wise (all in all, before this release, i was all
right with lex's melodies in general).

he seems to be getting better technically...but i don't
really care. not for me.

weathered, i just came across it a few weeks ago, fucking in
love with it,

the way track 1 blends ---> track 2 is just amazing,

and hte beginning of track 2 blows my mind.

yeah for real Lex is one of the nicest drum programmers in
the 'idm' game. Really tight physics and rhythms coupled
with his harmonies which are equally lush (if sometimes a
little sweet) he's really head and shoulders above most
other kids in the states. Excellent composer. Haven't got
this album yet but it sounds tight.

its completely boring.
Not that it's bad. Just boring.
I've heard all of these sounds about 50 times before in
other songs. The orchestra thing is cool though.

I like the album a lot too. The rhythmic idiosyncrasies show
a pretty strong Richard Devine influence to my ears.

you've heard guitar in 100's of other songs so does that
mean every new song with guitar is boring?

mneh, I cant stand the amen break because i've heard it so
much, so I guess i should shut up.

track 2 is great, but the rest of the album is soso..track 8
is also decent..a little dissapointment overall...even if
the production is top-notch and the artwork is also worth
mentioning. he has potential, if he would concentrate on the
melodies and structure..we know now that his production
skills are good.
