It sounds like you know the tricks but it's crap! A few
reverse bits with some phaser and a delay. These sort of
tracks are sooo one dimensional. You hear it once, it's
slightly interesting. You don't need to hear it again, it's
not going to enrich your life.

sooooo....it's technique over the whole point of making
music. Youl'd ba a good accountant..

Sorry for being brutal but you posted that nonsense....

to de[[scribe it i'll have to cram a page
worth of words in a paragraph. not only that, i
hb-tsk b-tsk b-tsk b-tsk bad to change the
past present future tense, and any
other sense that was in the wr iting.

lets just say, when it comes to my music, sometimes at three
in the morning when i need to make a global goon remix, my
imagination isnt what it used to be, and quite frankly, i
can live with it =)

jivver i think you should do a remix if you've had time to
type 50 messages since the last time i was on! i do agree
though, so much music in this genre really is production
tricks over melody or development

bjork, mira calix, can't name another female singer of "idm"
except for that sucky artist that posts at WATMM.. the one
who relies on her blue wig for gigs

did i say 50? it's actually 70 now that i think of it. you
were under 2000 when i last posted (thursday). woohoo,
party! ;) can i hear what you did with the track? i won't
criticize a work-in-progress.

admittedly, i didn't like the track to begin with, and now
that i've heard 25 remixes of it i like it even less. but i
liked some of the percussion you added, especially about
half-way through.

Good job. Seemed like there was a certain juxtaposition
about it that almost didn't work (and maybe it doesn't for
some people), but I liked it a lot. Only thing I didn't like
was the volume of the bass. Just a bit too high I thought.

oh man - i didnt know how old of a version this is - this is
draft 1 - im on draft 4 now :S

expect something following this line very roughly - ive got
much more fills, effects, and switches around - and fixed up
the drums and stuff

offline S M Pennyworth from East Timor on 2003-06-10 20:19 [#00735688]

i cant work on a track for longer than about 2 hours. then
it needs to be finished. ive always got tons of unfinished
stuff.
i usually finish them like 5 months later.

offline corticalstim from Canada on 2003-06-10 20:19 [#00735689]

heheh - check the date i uploaded that track - May 8 :P

yeh - i know the feeling - thats why most of my tracks are
so short - if i werk too long i lose my inspiration and end
up with something very repetitive - thats why this roject is
taking me so long - ive been cutting everything up and
redoing individual sections over and over again

havent heard the original goon track... although i did
intend on remixing it myself... anyway... i think your remix
is great, the singing sucks, but i think someone else is to
blame for that one. 9 out of 10 mate, you got quite a bit of
potential.
