it's really mellow. and relatively simple, too (always nice
to hear for a guy like me who can't get too involved with
music for lack of ability!). =]

surely this isn't your first effort. where the rest of your
stuff? we demands it!!!

i somehow failed to rattle off the phrase "i like it! it's
good!" in there...but i think you got the picture.

Actually that's the first thing I've "finished" since I got
into making tracks again - used to do godawful Danny Elfman
imitation things with a general midi sound card a few years
back.

Oh, and this "jerk-face" wasn't answering because he was
SLAVING all day over a HOT KEYBOARD to bring you more nice
musicses ::humph ::

nocturne - thank you for the kind words but I'm a
squarehead/bloc/tete carree so if you are looking for French
chat I will have to disappoint. :-)

Jack - oh it damned well is repetitive and you know it. I
just got sick of working on it and decided to move on.
What's a delay llama? Is it like a flange camel?

its a plugin that looks like a buddhist! makes that sort of
chanting "ahhh" sound... which is used in ur piece :) well,
sounds like it. ask paul to give u a demonstration

All of the sounds in that track except for the distorted
drum thingies were made by synth1. When I figured out I
could synch its delay and LFOs to multiples of Cubase's song
tempo I damn near had to change my pants.

Oh Wow, delay lama exists! downloading it now...

nice one, fleet. obvious references would be boc, plaid or
bjork... nice chilled vibes here, man. i dig, i dig.

Holy crap that delay lama is the craziest thing I've ever
seen! It's like some wacko idea you come up with when you're
high but they actually went and did it.

kd - so with that link are you saying I sound amateurish, or
that I sound professional? :-)

tib - thanks man - I was thinking of telephasic workshop a
bit for the beats -

I love the synthstring part.. starts kinda sad at 1:53 then
becomes uplifting from 2:03-2:08.. Beautiful... Solo is also
really well executed. Spacey & slightly disjointed.

Btw, Whats this synth1? I'm a total newb at music
production. I've just finished a track and when i get it
hosted i'll put a link up here. Prolly not your cup of tea
so-to-speak but i'm happyish with it.. i've kinda naturally
steered to a chemical bros kinda sound. Anywayz, keep em
comin'

Peoples! Thanks u for the kind words! I will make more soon
but I am having trouble sleeping - anxiety nightmares about
track markers gliding by in a Cubase window - gonna have to
take a break for a few days -

That thing at 2:13 is the Synth1 plugin I keep trying
to get people excited about. It's so happy family lucky
analog modeling! Actually all the sounds in the song are
Synth1 except for the distorted shuffledrums that start at
00:50

Everytime I try to play it I get about 5 seconds of audio
then it crackles and goes quite...but it is only happening
with this track everything else is playing fine.

Did you check out the soundbanks for it here? Some
of the sounds are great. Even the bad ones though show off
abilities you wouldn't know synth1 had. And it's easy to
make them sound original with some tuning.

Try a different mp3 player - the track is VBR instead of
fixed bitrate and maybe your player can't handle it... I use
Winamp and have had no probs.
